Hoping we have a big crowd for the game. Snow we are getting should be cleared off on the roads by next Tuesday. Let's get another win.

Hopefully we won’t have what NIU is anticipating today

Anyone remember the famous Bradley snowstorm game?
Despite the posted attendance of several thousand, there were really only 200 of us there.

That was the Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 home game against Creighton, who was still a member of the MVC at that time. They were coached by Greg McDermott and were having a disappointing season up to that point and needed a win (they were 14-9, 6-5 up to that point). It was Jim Les' final season as head coach, and with injuries to key players, like Taylor Brown and Sam Maniscalco, Bradley was having a terrible season, and came into the game 0-11 in the MVC. The game was scheduled for 7:00 pm, but because of a massive snowstorm that was moving into the area, it was moved up to 3:00 pm. Coach McDermott was notified and agreed to the time change, as was the MVC. McDermott believed the earlier time would make it more likely his team could fly back to Omaha before the weather got too bad. Unfortunately for them, the airport was closed by the time the game ended, forcing the Creighton team to spend another day in Peoria anyway.
Bradley won the game 69-61. Only about 250 people attended due to fear of the storm. The announced attendance was 8,091 (see box score) because season tickets and pre-sold tickets were counted.-

After the game, McDermott ripped Bradley and the MVC for moving the game time and seemed to blame his team's loss on the time change which upset their game-day routine.
Here is a reference to this in an article from the Wichita newspaper
* Creighton coach Greg McDermott had his own issues with the game in Peoria. Bradley officials moved the start time up four hours to 3 p.m. to avoid the blizzard. McDermott said Bradley told him of the change at 9 a.m. "There's bad weather all over the Midwest, and there was one game moved forward on game day," he told the Omaha World-Herald. "The communication to us was ridiculous. Game day is all about routine. We were not allowed to have a routine today, and I'm very disappointed in the way that it was handled.''

I was one of the ones there, McDermot was a sore loser. You have to pivot some due to unusual circumstances, he was a big baby about everything.

Only Maryland’s Gary Williams was a bigger crybaby than Greg & Gregg in my lifetime.

Maryland got relegated in 2006 to the NIT & Williams went ballistic on Bradley claiming he & his team deserved that bid - not Bradley.
In the end, Bradley walloped two highly ranked teams & made a run to the Sweet 16 -
While Maryland was gifted with TOP overall seed in the NIT, and nothing but cushy home games.
BUT - Williams & Maryland musta forgot to show up & play as they got whupped in their nationally televised opening game by the lowest seed in the tourney, Manhattan.

Btw -was just watching the Valpo game in NW Indiana, snowing there…
Prob 100-150 people there

I also attended that game. It was announced that it was too hazardous to travel, but my wife and I took our all wheel drive Toyota Highlander and easily made it to the game. That was a great game to attend.

I remember that game as well....mainly because during my romp back to my car thru the snow I dropped my Iphone out of my pocket, never to be found again. I had only had it for 3 days before I lost it which made it even more frustrating. lol

Yes I do! I wasn't there, but it was really bad in Chicago. My boss called off work an hour earlier than I normally stopped and I got home just in time to watch the last 10 minutes of the Braves win vs CU.

Oh my!!! Sorry man!

In the preview to the WSU game that's on bubraves.com, the series is shown as Wazzu leading 3-0. Whoever compiled this missed a BU victory in the 49-50 season, so the correct series has Wazzu leading 3-1. This includes last year's WSU victory in Pullman.

We are going to have to make a fair amount of 3 pointers tonight in order to win plus our rebounding needs to be a hell of a lot better.

Was that your phone! Man, still using that bad boy! Thanks bro! :)

3 pt shooting and FTs must improve in the 2nd half for Bradley to win this game.😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
Thanks for Smith getting rebounds to keep this from getting out of hand !🎯
