Arch Madness games

Bradley posted this information page regarding Arch madness. There is a lot of info for fans planning on going.-

Bradley Braves fan sections will be designated Sections 101, 102, 124,125, and 126 behind the team benches in the lower portion closest to the court.

What role does it play in your expectations that we have played much better at home? Of course, the tournament is not at home. Supposedly a neutral site.

I wonder whether home-road splits are a good predictor, all else being equal, of whether a team does well in tournaments.

And, more generally, what the best coaching techniques are for preparing players to be tough on the road.

Bradley has generally done well in the past in neutral court tournaments, though it's impossible to know if it gives them any advantages in this year's MVCT. Wardle usually has his teams playing their best at tournament time. And they will no doubt be favored whether they play Valparaiso or Indiana State.

They were 2-1 in the ESPN/Disney Tournament in Kissimmee, FL, last November.
And, last year, they went 3-0 in the 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational, and they were 2-1 in the MVC Tournament, losing to Drake in the Championship game. In fact, they reached the championship game in the MVCT 2 of the last 3 seasons, and if we go back to Wardle's teams of 2019 and 2020, they won the tournament.

We won't be seeing this kind of basketball court in St. Louis, but the Big 12 is introducing a new type of floor for their court at the Big 12 Tournament at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO. The court is one big LED screen that can be changed to have any appearance it is programmed for.
Here are several videos of it as it was demonstrated for media-

Notice so far no ISU players on the All Conference release today...
so I went to the ISU board to see what their fans' feeling are and i was shocked....
Their fans are at each others' throats, angry, wanting to clean house, fire Pedon and get rid of most of their players...

Geez... right up til a couple weeks ago they were within reach of finishing 2nd and yet their fans are as angry
& hostile as you could imagine...
Here are just 3 quotes about one of their team leaders who was literally a saint with blood running down his face until a week ago...
The vitriol for Pedon is just as bad....

"Who needs to go? Kinzinger. Too small, too slow and he has become a turnover machine. He’s had a poor season
and I think he sees the writing on the wall. Klabo is a much better player."

"...Kinzinger. His performance this season has been unacceptable. He’s just not D1 caliber; IMO"

"Klabo and Coleman and Pence & Walker. Run off the rest."

and one guy wants Johnny Kinziger's brother to transfer from Wisconsin to ISU.
He's a freshman who prob aimed way too high in going to Wisconsin, barely plays, averages 1 ppg, zero rebounds, zero asst

Yes, that is a good idea. And you can probably do the same thing I suggested earlier.... buy at a good price, and if there are openings in seats with a better location, move down.
I believe the MVC wants as many people in those side sections (101, 102, 103, 104) that show on camera, so it doesn't look like the MVC doesn't have many fans.

I also had to do single session this year.I have 101C for the 12:00 game on Friday and then section 122 for our game. That was as close as I could find on StubHub that was close to our sections.

The first of the Thursday games is SIU vs Drake at 3:30 pm Central. All games are broadcast by the CW Network in Peoria, channel 907 on Xfinity. In addition, they are on ESPN+.

LOL
What is SIU doing????

They’re the worst 3pt shooting team in the country and 4 of their first 5 shots are terrible long 3-pointers and the other one was a hurried 20-footer

The first half was nothing to write home about as both teams were a combined 3-20 in the first 13 minutes. They were a combined
6-27 for the half. SIU leads 31-27

as soon as SIU started penetrating inside they have taken contriol
They are outrebounding Drake 28-13! Both teams shooting under 25% from 3-pt

Quel’Ron House is single handedly keeping SIU in this game. He has 26 points on 11-20 shooting, 3-4 from 3. The rest of the Dogs are
1-17 from 3. Drake is leading 61-58 with 3:00 left

Drake is your winner of Game 1 over SIU 67-63 in what was not a shooting clinic exhibition. As a team SIU shot 28-71 overall, a pathetic 4-25 from 3. Quel’Ron House was 3-5 from 3 which meant the rest of the team was 1-20. And none of them looked close to going in. House ended up with 28 but was 1-5 from the Ft line, 0-4 late in the game. For Drake they shot 24-56 overall, 9-31 from 3. They were led by Jalen Quinn who had 22. They will play Belmont at noon tomorrow.
