We will see maybe sometime later tonight or tomorrow if Bradley gets invited to the NIT. Coach Wardle has stated he would accept an invitation. Just have to wait and see what other teams decide to do that do not get an NCAA bid. Here is hoping Bradley gets an invitation. If we do IMO it will more than likely be an away game. Could be wrong but hope we get at least one more chance to play at Carver Arena.

With the new NIT rules, if Bradley gets an at-large bid to the NIT, it would be an away game. But if they get the exempt bid that would have gone to Belmont, it would be a guaranteed home game.

A little humor.... Mississippi Valley State finished the season 3-30 (2-30 vs D1). Their NET is #365, dead last.
But they thought they might just try a desperate appeal to the NCAA selection committee- 🤣

Interesting trivia.... One of their wins was a non-D1 win against Mississippi University for Women. I kid not. It is a state school in Mississippi that dates back to 1884. It was initially named Industrial Institute and College for the Education of White Girls of Mississippi (LINK). But it has been coeducational since 1982, though men's sports were not started until 2017. 22% of their students are male (what male would want to go to MUW?). They are Division III, and their men's basketball team were actually pretty good this season. They went 17-11, and 11-5 in their conference (the SLIAC, the same conference as Eureka College). They won their conference tournament, but lost in the opening round of the D3 National Tournament.
Also interesting trivia... they are the only school whose official school colors are different shades of the same color! Their school colors are Navy Blue and Blue, officially named Navy Blue and Welty Blue - LINK- scroll down to the last page/page 22.
(Welty Blue was named after Eudora Welty, considered the most famous alumna)
The 97-71 loss to Mississippi Valley State was an exhibition game for them.

.....what male would want to go to MUW?...
serious?
I once asked a male who was the only guy at an all girls nursing school why he would choose that one...
and of course his answer was predictably.... "what do you mean? I got all the girls I can handle..."

Long wait to see if BU's season continues...not holding my breath, but I feel they deserve it over other MVC teams the way they finished 2nd, beat Belmont, had a solid non-conf after a 1-3 start, and took UNI to the wire unlike their other opponents in Arch Madness. Also have proven to be tough in NIT the last 2 seasons but not sure they consider that, but at least Bradley has a great rep in the NIT recently and over time.
Actually thought there was NO chance after losing at UIC. But then UIC finished behind BU somehow and then Belmont opted out! We'll see.

Should know shortly, just hope if they get a road game it is against a team not in our league.

That is very unlikely. The committee tries hard not to match up conference members in the first round, and even tries to avoid matching teams that have played each other during the season.

I hope nobody is counting too strongly on Bradley getting an NIT bid. If so, there is a strong likelihood you'll be disappointed. I hope I am wrong. We need a bunch more teams to decline.

Some of these also-ran teams in the Power Conference have suggested they might prefer the Vegas Crown Basketball Tournament which splits revenues with the players.

Not counting on Bradley getting invited, but you can hope as hell. Hope the committee takes into account our storied past along with strong fan base and support. Is Dr. Reynolds still involved with the selection committee. If so maybe he can make a case for Bradley.
