New Bradley Women’s Basketball Coach

Chaia Meyer has only been an assistant at Marquette for the last 2 years. Prior to that is when she got all of her head coaching experience.
She is from Normal, Illinois and graduated from Moody Bible Institute, where she received a bachelor's degree in theology. She also has a master's education in kinesiology from Texas Women's University, and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Edgewood University in 2019. She was an assistant coach for 2 years at D3 Dominican University (2007-2009) in River Forest, Illinois, then she had head coaching positions at NCCAA Moody Bible Institute from 2009-2015, NCCAA Grace University (2015-2016), and NCAA Division III Edgewood University (2016-2024). Then she was named an assistant coach at Marquette in 2024 under newly hired Cara Consuegra.

Note that her bio at Marquette lists her name as Chaia Huff. She is now Chaia Meier, having been married last August.

I talked to a Bradley women's fan this morning. He has attended all the women home games plus some of the away games plus donated money. He said Bradley had a get together with the new Coach recently. He had wanted to go but it was invite only. Is this true? He didn't get invited. He said several other Bradley fans that attend the games also did not get invited. Can anyone explain?

The event was a meet and greet for Chaia and her new staff to meet the Braves Club board.

But always looking for dedicated folks interested in joining the board!

Ok so it was just the Board not just fans in general. I understand. I will pass this information on to him and calm him down. He was upset but he will understand

So nobody thought to have Braves Club members, dedicated season ticket buyers, and long-time donors involved in an event to meet the new women's coaches? Hard to believe.
I am a 48-year season ticket holder & member of the Chiefs Club/Braves Club and was also one of the few fans active in donating to the women's NIL collective as well as to the Braves Club and HOTB collective. But apparently that is not enough to be invited to meet the new coaches. It seems Bradley and now the MVC are doing whatever they can to alienate the fans and donors.

It wasn't that no one thought about that. It was just a small get together (nuthin' fancy) to meet some of the new staff. They've been going like crazy to put together roster, staff, etc so haven't had a chance to really get out and meet folks. I know that Chaia wants to have other bigger events.

There are a few thousand Braves Club members, so having something for that group would be a much, much bigger undertaking. Obviously you are in the top percentile of those members, so I am sure something will happen sometime in the near future.

There are also a bunch of new coaches - softball, women's golf, tennis, women's basketball - so they're trying to get all of those folks up to speed on their program's alums, donors, etc while they try to put together rosters for next season quickly. With the new changes to how they are handling annual giving, there will also be a lot of conversations to be had about Braves Club, sport specific, and all types of donations and benefits for those donations.
