2026 Portal transfers

Can anyone guess what we're paying our players next year? I'll guess 50k low end, 100K high end! Maybe we got 250k to sway a relatively good High major who sat on bench last year and now wants to play? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts!
Reink was getting 45k (allegedly) …and that was 3 years ago

I thought foreign players couldn't get NIL?
They can get NIL money as long as it's related to campus activities. They cannot earn off-campus money, which is considered job-related earnings by the government, and not allowable on a student visa.

There are 361 Division 1 men's basketball programs. It is projected that 2400 to 2700 players will enter the portal. Therefore, most teams will lose 7 players from last year's team, not counting the few graduating, going to play in the NBA, or losing eligibility. I read that approximately 150 to 200 men players transfer from junior colleges to Div 1 programs. This movement of new players makes it difficult for a coach to recruit a player that needs time to develop.

366 if you add the transition teams plus West Florida who starts Year 1 26/27 season.

Creighton big man Owen Freeman, MidPro alum, is entering the portal. Reportedly one of the highest paid guys last year, he struggled at Creighton with injuries and playing time. Let’s see if he joins his buddy Brock Harding at TCU or goes back to the Big Ten, where he was sensational at Iowa his Freshman year.

Some MVC names-
UNI players Will Hornseth and Leon Bond are in the portal
Indiana State forward Enel St. Bernard is in the portal
Belmont's Win Miller is in the portal
Murray State's Tristian Ford, a point guard that Bradley recruited, is in the portal
Evansville's Leif Moeller is in the portal.

More to come
