Jaquan Johnson in the portal

Iowa State only has two returning starters at guard, so Bully could get plenty of playing time. Depending on other transfers that may come. Sad to see Bully leaving BU, but we’re Iowa State fans too, so excited that he’ll be a Cyclone.

Kind of surprised me that he got that big of a school with his size. I know he is tough and quick but most P5 schools have 6'4 and taller guards.

I bet he feels great, considering he'll be getting paid more money than Jim Les was ever paid to coach at Bradley
Where did you come up with he’ll be getting more than Les when he was at Bradley? I’m highly skeptical of him making more than Les got paid at Bradley.

I think Braves4Life is correct. Jim's salary was reported to be about $425,000 per year when he was fired in March, 2011.

There are varying reports, none of which are official, that Jaquan will be paid as high as $1.5 to $2 million in NIL money for each of the next 2 years. Even if the actual number is as low as $1 million per year, that still far exceeds the $425K that Jim Les was earning yearly at Bradley.

Jim had three years left on his contract when he was fired, and his contract stipulated that he be paid the remaining amount, which would have been $425K x 3. However, Bradley President Joanne Glasser refused to pay him the amount the contract called for, and hired a team of lawyers who threatened Jim and tried to get him to accept a lowball buyout. There is a lot more to the story, but to make a long story short, Jim hired one of the top sports lawyers in the country, Martin Greenberg. It went back and forth for months before a notice of a lawsuit by Jim's lawyer and pressure from the Bradley Board of Trustees who did not want the embarrassment of a public spectacle, resulted in a settlement in which Glasser caved and paid Jim the $1.3 million he was owed.

It's a wonder that BU and the athletic department survived all of this. Glad she's gone, but it took a little long to get rid of her.
