and way before anyone else seems to know!!
You guys must have the pipeline.

Sad to see Buycks name not on the list, but it's a pretty good recruiting class anyway!

OK........that's good news......and by the way ...the incoming class looks pretty good on paper....if these players can gel as a team look-out! :D

Here's an interesting note, almost as interesting by way of something that HAS NOT happened as what has happened.

First...
Creighton did get the LOI's from their two juco guards
http://www.gocreighton.com/sports/common/news_releases_detail.asp?articleID=5803

and Evansville did sign the obscure D-II guy that was going to go to SIU-E as I noted in a separate thread
http://www.gopurpleaces.com/article.asp?articleid=85126

Indiana State signs Lamar Lee who was had earlier committed to Evansville, then backed out and signs with Indiana State.

BUT...no other MVC school has announced any signings.

So, I guess there are no surprises....but I hope BU can still pull one off with another athletic big man/scorer.

And also with the new editions next season we need to throw in Ray Brown and Jeremy Fears....this team could be as deep and talented of team that I can remember! 8) I think JF will be a starter!

Okay...That's great! But...can anyone tell me what David Collins looks like (HAVE ANY PHOTOS?) b/c I just can't find a picture of him anyhere.

Anything new to report here?

Saw D Will at school yesterday...carrying books and headin to class.......2 options:

1. Hope for the best.....

2. Don't get your hopes up.....

Either way if this group gels with the returners...WOW!

Study hard D Will its going to be a fun ride!

Good deal..... :D

The article mentions that Jim Les has received "30-40 resumes to replace assistant Lennox Forrester". And I suspect the open position hasn't been advertised yet since it occurred so recently.

The article contains one error. It says "Collins will make his first visit to the Hilltop this weekend". As has been posted here, David Collins visited Bradley back in April of 2006. So if he comes this weekend it will be at least his second visit.

Something else mentioned in the article--
It's said that Charlie Coley is also considering Louisville. I had heard that earlier, but I do not believe that is current. Coley originally was planning on visiting Louisville the weekend after Bradley. But he switched his Charlotte visit from last weekend to that next weekend, so that would suggest his Louisville plans have changed. However, he is still considering Charlotte.

One thing that may have changed the plan is that Louisville got a new committment yesterday from a high school shooting guard. I believe their interest in Coley was as a fallback option, and now they may not have a need for him anymore--

Northern Iowa's announcement comes a little later than those other MVC schools, but they did indeed get LOI's from their three guard prospects.
6-1 guard Matt Culliver (Rivals no Stars)
6-4 guard Jonathan Montgomery (Rivals no Stars)
6-2 guard Drew Lundberg (Rivals no Stars)
Lundberg is said to be a walk on and was not required to sign a LOI by the NCAA but the school may have asked him to do so.

These three join Bret Barz (Rivals 2-Star) and Lucas O'Rear (Rivals 3-Stars) who signed last fall.
Their five signees, according to Rivals, and

Wichita's letters of intent may not be comnig.
They have a solid big man, Brandon Sampay, who will probably go elsewhere now that
Mark Turgeon is gone.
Wichita's AD actually did a grovelling press conference almost tearfully begging their recuirts to stick with Wichita.

Van Coleman recruiting guru has our class a close second to CU's. Throw in recruits Fears and Brown  and I think we jump right over CU.

Add Coley and its a no brainer.

Will Friday the 13th be lucky for BU.......

In reading the PJStar article it sounds like BU's looking at C. Coley because D.Williams has lots of academic work to do still. They seem like very similar players the only difference I see is that Williams has played at that D-1 level before. Then again Louisville is still trying to get Coley according to Reynolds.

If you're Les how do you handle this situation? I think he's darned if he does & darned if he doesn't. If he drops D.Will he may lose credibility to recruit local guys, but if he sticks with him & he doesn't make it, he may have lost out on a quality recruit in Coley. Can they drop a kid who's signed a LOI? The article also says that Williams will have to "buckle down" in summer school at ICC. So I doubt he'll be able to do any strength training or work-outs at BU until he's enrolled.

Think Les is in a very tough situation here!!
