Our last sellout was in '05 against you guys but we were winning games that year so our fans showed up  .
That was your 1st sellout in 7 years leading up to that game and your last since. (1 sellout in 9 years!)
Was that the last time Redbirds fans stormed the court?
BBFan at
the other board says Redbirds fans don't care about beating Bradley so bad .... enough to storm the court.
I think he is wrong.
And when ISU beats Bradley again - which will happen sometime I am sure (maybe this coming season) - fans will storm the court AGAIN as if they have just won the National Championship.
Young 18-22 year old kids excited and happy that their team beat their biggest rival for the first time in a few years. If they storm the court, who cares? Nothing wrong with that in my opinon. So you can only storm the court when you beat a ranked team or when you clinch the Valley title? What's your criteria for storming the court? When was the last time BU stormed the court? I remember them doing it in '96 on a Saturday afternoon against ISU because I was there. Was that OK? have they done it since?
Better yet, why do you care?
DC, I don't like being bs'd with an air of arrogance.
Illini fans are notorious for it.
BBFan has tried it with me from time to time.
He has tried to discard the rivalry as a mildly strong matchup of teams relativily close to one another geographically. He has said ISU does not care what goes on at Bradley and how they are doing and/or what they are doing. ISU cares no more about beating Bradley than they do any other opponent.
THAT is Bee-Loney!
I was flaming on
the other board about ISU fans storming the court if and when they beat BU. BBFan got tired of hearing it and basically claimed it wouldn't happen because ISU doesn't care that much about beating BU.
I don't care when fans storm courts, really - if everything is civil and players are kept safe.
I care when my team gets stormed against to the point it says something about my team.
BUT DON'T Bee-Esss me and tell me it won't happen cause your team doesn't care one way or the other about beating my team.
So do I have a criteria? Hey - I would storm the court if I could after every win. And I would do the "funky-chicken/in-your-face" dance after beating ISU. Because winning EVERY game means a lot to me... and it ALWAYS means something to beat ISU - period!
So for an ISU fan to look down his nose at me like ISU is too big to storm the court... give me a stinkin break...
BBFan! You out there?
Here's the last time ISU won THEIR National Championship over a team finishing 13-15:

Redbirds get best of old rivalry.

NORMAL, Ill. _ They don't call it "The War on I-74" anymore, but Saturday's Bradley-Illinois State game was no less intense than it has been for 100 years.
Buoyed by the
first sellout in seven years at Redbird Arena,
ISU solidified its third-place standing in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 69-62 victory over the Braves.
Senior guards Trey Guidry and Vince Greene led the Redbirds with 24 and 20 points respectively.
Many of the 10,200 stormed the court after time ran out to celebrate a victory in what many call the best rivalry...
