....
Braylon Wenger just visited Bradley this past weekend and had an offer from Bradley...

but apparently he failed to commit and just like that- as soon as the scholarship is taken by Ben Thornbrue yesterday,
Braylon Wenger now COMMITS to Louisiana Tech.
Just my opinion, but I am thinking that scholarship might be the ONLY one that Cpach Wardle planned to use on a wing player and Wenger
waited too long...

One of Marquette’s starters averaging 8.1 ppg, 3 rpg, 1.7 asst is leaving - should Bradley consider pursuing?
Has never had discipline issues but rumors do center on team chemistry in a season where Marquette is doing exceptionally under expectations.

Not this guy. He has had some issues. Here is what has been reported in the last couple days:

The guy you are referring to (Zaide Lowery, 8.1 ppg, 3 rpg, 1.7 apg), just punched out and body-slammed one of Marquette's assistant coaches, cursed him out, then quit the team.

I know, that's the rumors....
I recall Dick Versace saying there was a certain aspect that he liked when the players really got aggressive and started fighting....
But obviously defying a coach might be too much...

The reports suggest "the two got into an argument over playing time". Lowery was a starter for Marquette's first 9 games, but then after Marquette's 75-72 overtime win over Valparaiso on Dec. 2, in which Lowery played poorly and went 0-7, he was relegated to a reserve role for the next two games against Wisconsin and Purdue. Both games were 20-point blowout losses. He then scored 8 pointsin their next game against Wisconsin, but was scoreless in the following game against Purdue. After that game, he did not play in their next 3 games, all 3 were conference losses to Georgetown, Creighton, and Seton Hall.
So Lowery went from being a starter for the first 8 games, to not playing at all the last 3 games.

So some kind of altercation occurred, and was reported by sports journalist Rob Reinhart-
www.x.com/RealRobReinhart/status/2005423411795722638
Then Marquette reacts by posting this-
www.x.com/MarquetteMBB/status/2005468328207253836
So whoever runs the Marquette men's basketball account on X.com admits the reports of an altercation are true, but claims the information that leaked out was somehow "inaccurate".
But then, mysteriously, head coach Shaka Smart says that the rumors on social media are "1000% accurate"-
www.x.com/pat_timlin/status/2006199406320550146

Marquette is in the midst of possibly their worst season in 60 years (pre-Al McGuire), and now some fans are using this "altercation" and the dismissal of a player to attack the assistant coach who was involved-
www.x.com/jamestardella/status/2005445595045978540
And many are using this to attack head coach Shaka Smart. He has had good success at Marquette, taking over a losing program from Steve Wojciechowski in 2021, and averaging 25 wins over the last 4 years, winning a Big East Tournament Championship, and getting to the NCAA tournament all 4 years.
But now with one bad season, the fans want him gone. Here are just a few of the comments that don't include vulgarity.
