Next game: Bradley vs UT-Martin, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 7:30 pm

I would not put much stock in Meta because he has more trouble against smaller centers. He cannot guard well on the perimeter and has a hard time when he is forced outside and has to get back to defend inside and rebound. We play better with more versatile players. He slows our offense down.

I obviously agree. I have said since he has been here, Meta is only good in limited situations. Our offense and defense was better with him off the floor. He's not strong with the basketball, nor does he rebound well for his size, and his offensive skillset is very limited. He is best against slow, undersized back to the basket players.

I believe that Kai Yu will be getting more playing time than Meta by the end of the season than Meta

Halftime score- Bradley 36 UTM 34

Lots to work on...
Maybe too much subbing for this young team to get into a rythm tonight...long ways to go with ZERO identity or purpose on either end of the court tonight!🤔🤔🤔

Final score- UT- Martin 78 Bradley 67

Just a sub par game from everyone. UTM is a talented team, and shot and rebounded well. The opportunities were there for Bradley, but the shots didn't fall.
17-51 overall (33.3%)
3-20 from three (15.0%)

I don't see any leadership with this team. Nobody to step up when needed. No clutch guys. No Duke Deen. 😥

It always baffles me in the offseason when people say we shouldn’t recruit more depth because how will everyone play? This offseason the mantra was these freshmen are unlike any others we’ve had before and we can’t recruit over them. They’ve proven to still be freshmen.

We really needed another big, another shooter, and possibly another point. If Johnson or Wheeler gets hurt the other might have to play close to 40 minutes a night. I don’t see this being a great shooting team all year. Burch will help but isn’t a volume three guy yet. It’s going to be hard to score a ton with limited shooting ability.

In terms of bigs, Meta and Timo were actually ok mostly tonight even with a few bad misses from Meta (and a score for the other team off his head). Yu is still interesting but still has a ways to go. Thomas continues to be inconsistent.

This team will still be interesting to watch develop and it’s just one game, but there are obvious holes that we will have all year. Hopefully Burch comes back soon.

Well let’s face it we did not reload!!!! This is a rebuild and nothing more. All new coaches, leadership, glue guy, the guy and rebounding. We got nothing and why ? Well it’s very simple the staff was ready to make the step to the next level up. We beat Drake in the championship and Wardle was gone. We have some of the best NIL money but we aren’t getting much out of it. I don’t know what was worse the food in the club room or the product on the floor tonight. Going forward play all the freshmen and young players. We need some dogs and not little Chihuahuas.
