    The NCAA might be treating NIL contracts similar to employment contracts. In most employment contracts, non-compete clauses are legal for the duration of the contract.

    The NCAA still requires students to be full-time students, which by their definition means a minimum of 12 credit-hours per semester. Summer sessions are not included, and there are some exceptions for post-grad students.
