This week's Player of the Week per the basketball web site called STATSHEET is indeed Doug McDermott
The official MVC award is still pending but I'd have to believe it'll be the same.

"Creighton's Doug McDermott has won the StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week
award for the week ending January 9th.
Illinois State's Nic Moore has won StatSheet's Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week."

McDermott was the Missouri Valley leader in scoring (34.0 pts per game)"

Does the MVC now have an official Freshman of the Week award?
I thought it was always called the Newcomer of the Week and included redshirt players, transfers, and jucos.
