"Surprisingly, they??™re second in field-goal percentage and fifth in 3-point percentage??”testament to the adjusted style Jim Les implemented before conference play began."
Sounds like he's giving JL credit for adjusting the style of play before league play began... Then again maybe that's his backhanded way of criticizing JL for the playing style implemented at the beginning of the year.
Proof they read this board and respond that way? I'd say so.
Yes, I give BradleyFans that much credit. No, there's not anything wrong with that. Or with KW/DR responding to comments that are made here via blog or articles.
Good for them for addressing things. Sometimes.
So you think they give JL credit because of this board? Now that is funny
I do think we are seeing a lot more Bradley articles, reports on recruits, and blogging several times a week as a reaction to the stated interests of the fans on this forum. Don't you? Certainly it's not coincidence that their coverage of Bradley in terms of number of articles and the amount of space in the paper and on the PJS website has increased dramatically in the last year.
For example, it was rare to ever see a mention of any BU recruit in the PJS until this past year. Now we are seeing frequent updates about a certain recruit that is awaiting NCAA clearance. And the blogs are also new in the past year.
That's a development that's not exclusive to the PJS though. That same thing is true of newspapers all over the country. They're slowly adjusting to the competition from all the internet sites that have the advantage of being able to publish news 24/7.

I think they have made some major changes over "there" because of the traffic another certain board is getting.
blogs a going thing everywhere really. I've read the Journal every day for 30 years...except for times like now when I'm in Hawaii and I'll read them when I get back..
Are there changes? yes. There are changes in every business.
I remember reading about recruits before now and there are other ways via the internet to learn about recruits too other than bradleyfans......bradleyfans is great but I wouldn't try to make it more than it is.

Not what I said. I think they are responding to general comments made here by issuing more articles, blog entires, whatever... and that a lot of them have topics based on things they have been ripped for here. I am giving the guys some credit -- they see people calling them out on (sometimes) unjustified things, and they address them through these new (to them) means of blogs, etc.
This is not about BradleyFans, it's about the PJ Star. Their circulation is dwindling, they are laying off large numbers of employees, and they are losing money. That's well documented. If you don't think the changes they have made are because of the competetion that has caused their problems, then you are welcome to think that. But I am sure even the PJ Star people would not try to deny that.
Yes, I can recall a few times over the last 40 years of reading the PJ Star that I can actually recall the sports columnists refer to an unsigned recruit by name. But in the last 4 months, there have been many more articles and blog entires about John Wilkins than any previous mentions of recruits in the last few decades. And the overall number of columns and blogs dedicated to Bradley basketball is way up this year.
And now they start a fan message board dedicated to Bradley hoops. They have had message boards for 10 years there, and never thought they needed a dedicated Bradley forum. You apparently think that it's a coincidence?
No, it's because they are losing business to other sites, and they know that if they don't try to provide what others already are providing, they will become even more irrelevant. It's clearly because of sites like this.

wow, so it's you single-handedly that's putting them out of business!!
