Illinois State may play with two key players out.
Dom Johnson has been gone all week with an ilness and death in his family and is not expected to play.
Mike Vandello has a strained calf muscle he got while dunking, and has missed two full days of practice and is questionable for tonight.

It would really be nice to see ISU win at home versus Eville.

I suppose having WSU win at UNI would be good since we have a shot at home versus UNI.

As for BU, an ISU and UNI victory would give BU some extra space above the lower division. Or would you rather bring UNI down a notch and into a three way tie for third with BU and MSU with WSU and/or EU one game out. I say knock WSU and EU down and BU can take care of UNI in February.

I believe the Redbirds will get it done tonight despite the loss of Dom and Vandello.

They owe the Aces a beat-down after what happened at Roberts Stadium in December. I feel confident the home team will get the job done tonight.

We definitely need to be redbird fans tonight as much as it pains me to say it. I don't know what to think about the UNI WSU match-up. Either way, one of them loses which is good for us.

It is good for us, IF we win tomorrow night.
If we DO NOT win Tomorrow night, it is better that the Shockers and Aces go down now!

Yup-- you guys need to get your home win tonight, and take it easy on your next home opponent.

Big win for the Shox at UNI, 67-61.
They essentially switched spots in the RPI.

Wichita State now at #52 and UNI at #61.

Before the game UNI was at #53 and Wichita St. at #61.

After WSU dominated for 30 minutes, UNI showed a ton of heart and nearly pulled it out...they were down 17 and got it to three. They showed a lot of heart on a night where WSU really played well.

Gotta love the Valley! Good exposure on national TV

man this further clumps up the teams, especially w/ the BU win tomrrow nite!

Eldridge scored 14 to lead the Redbirds along with Slack. He also had 8 boards and 3 assists. He scored 9 points in the last 2 minutes to give his team the lead and his FT's late sealed it.

I was at the game and the 'Birds dug deep with a short bench and got the W. Hopefully this will give them some confidence back for the game this Saturday.

Dom should be back for Saturday and hopefully Vandello will be in better shape. He played a few minutes but was clearly impaired with the leg injury.

I hope the game is more compelling than last week in Peoria.

Good luck tonight against the Jays.

Watching Osiris completely take over that game was fun. It's about the only thing that gives me hope for this program. I am not very confident about this Saturday.
