2 MVC games Wed. 2/10

Not like it matters much now, but we need a UNI and SIU win tonight. With a UNI win, they clinch a 1st place tie and would be ripe for a letdown Saturday. A drake win and they take command for the 4-5 game against CU or ISU. personally, I'd like to play CU over ISU. And I'd like to play them at 8:30 Friday. A CU win over them Saturday will help make that a reality We just don't have the horses to beat ISU Red.

How do you figure?

Yes, we need a UNI win, BUT that win and they celebrate on our home floor w/ an MVC championship if they beat us Saturday afternoon.

As far as I can tell, either way we're in trouble...our real shot to not play on Thu. now comes in the form of a tie w/ Drake as we beat them twice....

So yes, like you said, it depends on where ISU finishes, but how do we finish is the real concern?

I'm assuming we grow a spine, have some pride , and take out UNI on Saturday. Maybe I'm delirious

We can't hold two 10 pt leads against isu. I have no reason to believe not wanting to see UNI celebrate on our floor will give any extra motivation to our guys.

To avoid likely playing on Thursday, we really need a UNI win tonight. That's the bottom line. An SIU win would also be nice, but is not as necessary.

The key game for Bradley if we want to avoid playing on Thursday is our game at Indiana State. Win that one, and we're likely fine due to tiebreakers. Lose that one, and it's 50/50 which day we open play in STL.

Say what? You think 8-10 gets 6th? We need 2 wins in the final 4 games! Not an easy thing, we play Lawson, Durley, and Eglesader all of whom owned the boards during our first ,meeting.
We need an upset somewhere.
9-9 would probably do it.

I think 8-10 will result in a tie for 6th...probably a 3 or 4 way tie. Beat Indiana State and we'd be looking good in any tiebreakers we're in with Drake and Indiana State.

Remember last season, 8-10 tied for 5th. Don't think that'll happen this season, but if SIU wins tonight, it could.

OOPS! I forgot 8-10 did it last year!
8-10 is pretty disappointing! for that matter so is 10-8..
Look forward to seeing you and your boys in St. Louis. Hopefully NOT Thursday night.

I think WSU and Indy St. would be our best shots at two wins. But UNI will lose a game or two before the end, at least in my opinion. Hopefully they lose Saturday against us!

They know how to close out games...something they have done repeatedly all season....just the opposite of our team. 15-0 run over the final 6 minutes tonight until the meaningless Drake 3 at the end.

Nice win by UNI. Drake is back to the form they had at the start of the conference season- they are playing awful, and can't score- 48 points for the game.
I don't know about UNI. They certainly are dominating the MVC. They are projected (by Joe Lunardi) to get a #6 seed, and play someone like #11 Illinois. I think they will be 1 and done in the NCAA.

I agree. UNI is the best in our conference but taht isn't saying much this year. 1 and done is almost a certainty. Now that they've clinched, I fully expect BU to win Saturday. We've been close 3 of the last 4 times we've played them. It's time to get over the hump.

UNI will be a tough out for whoever they play in the NCAA. I think the best way to describe them is the most impressive "unimpressive" team. They don't seem like they are that good, and they don't wow you with size or speed, or anything really, yet they always win.

I agree with this assessment of UNI.
Last night they won on the road despite most of their best players having bad games. Kwadzo Ahelegbe had only 2 points, Dunham had 0, Eglseder had only 8 points, and Adam Koch lead them with 12, but was only 4-10 from the field. But they got good production from their bench, which usually doesn't score much. Some how they find a way to win just about every game. But the scrappy teams like this usually don't last long in the NCAA tournament.
