2008 BU commitment- Taylor Brown

dog....if your talking about Brown....he would be able to play right away as an incoming freshman! McGee from indiana would have to sit a year being a soph and having played D1 ball last year!

Yeah..thats why I would think we could still land him. (McGee)

Yes! Taylor Brown, welcome to the Hilltop. You will find some of the most passionate and knowledgeable fans anywhere. Now lets go win some championships!

This is exactly the type of player I was hoping to get, a four year guy with some size and athleticism. Plus I really like that his dad played pro ball and trained him at home for a year. He will have a great work ethic from the get go.

On a personal note, can we please stop painting Lakeview as a 'hater'? I was out at one of my local Saturday night watering holes, and got a call from Lakeview about our recent signee. A 2 AM call about a 13th scholarship? Who does that? Fans that don't have the 'passion' for the Braves aren't calling other fans at 2 AM to talk about summer recruiting...let's give Lakeview a break, he loves the Braves as much as ANYONE on here!

As far as my opinion on this guy...let's look at risk/reward. This guy is scholarship #13, has 4 years, has size, and has pedigree. Show me the downside in this! I don't care if this guy is a 4 year benchwarmer, he's our last scholie, and he's a big 4 year kid who's dad played in the NBA. There's no downside at all, NONE, and credit Jim for seeing this and making the offer right away. Between offers from Les and McDermott, I think clearly Jim's NBA ties helped us quite a bit with this commit. When you get guys to committ without even seeing campus, it's either real fishy (Julian Wright to KU) or a great sell (Taylor Brown to BU). Well done Jim.

With the unique circumstances, I wonder if TB will be on campus soon? :?:

We're 0-2 with recent Browns (Jermaine and Ray), I think the 3rd time is the charm here. What can 'BROWN' do for you? With his eligibility and pedigree, I think he can do a lot.

If I had your number I woulda called ya.....:)....heck I woulda have drove over to the watering hole and told you in person......

Welcome to BU Taylor. You will love it here.

I like that BU got a 4 year forward. With another verballed for next season. That would give us 3 years in a row of getting size players with 4 years to devlop. I like how this is going. Size but also athleticism. Just need JL to teach them all how to shoot the 3 :-P:-P

Great find dogs. If you would have driven to the watering hole I am at, it would have been a long drive.

We need our campus spies to get to Hausler and file some reports.

Congrats to the staff and thanks for all of the long hours.

Speaking of "long drives" when are ya do home? We have some golfing to do....need to show ya my new game, SLOWLY rounding into form after some early struggles this season with a new swing. There calling me "Smiling Bob" with my new swing of confidence......:)

I like this signing also.....I really think his dad will be a positive influence and looks like he has the kid working hard and understanding what it takes to succeed.

dogs....you are too funny man  I return next friday, but I am not ready to see your new swing of confidence  I will call you and O&B74 to set something up.

wiley coyote told me once that if you want to get better you have to keep improving your recruiting...I think the staff is doing this.

So what does leave for open scholies for next year? 2 or 3 if Milos signs?

We should have three left?

I hope once this kid is in town we can get a report from someone that might get a chance to see him play with the Bradley team?

I could hear your laugh when you read it all the way "up" here.....

Gone are TW, SS, RA, DC........Milos gets 1. Should leave 3.

I think Milos would be for next year and Sean will be down the road because of his 2 yr. comittment. I get confused easily. With who is leaving it looks like a big is what is needed.........another POB! The way this is going the team will have to get hotel rooms with much longer beds.

Maybe this signing will get us to schedule a 2 for 1 with Georgia Tech. OOPS, maybe they won't play us since we beat them the last time

TB we all welcome you to BU and the Hilltop. I also went to BU without seeing the campus although it was in the 80s. What you will see besides all the constructions is a campus and a BU community that is very open and warm. The mid-west have the most caring giving people in our country and Bradley seems to attract their fair share. You should have 4 very productive years on the hard court and the class room.
