2008 BU committment- Darian Norris - 5'11

No but by not getting a big this year, it puts even more of an emphasis on getting a forward or center with next year's class. I would like to see a more diversified recruiting class than 4 guards.

I'm pretty sure that with the large recruiting class we're going to have to bring in next year, we'll probably add one or two Juco bigs. I think it'll work out about the same. It just depends on who we could have gotten this year and who we can get next year to make a judgment on it.

I think that Les has done a good job with recruiting in this class. We have 3 great guards coming in Dodson, McCain, and Norris. With Sam M. as well, we will be very solid for the next three-four years at guard. Hopefully Thompson and Egolf will turn into great players as well. The potential is here to do great things. This class also shows a commitment from Les to stay with the guard heavy offense, and will allow him to recruit mostly bigs next year.

Yeah that is very nice. Good players are hard to come by, but good players with good grades are even more rare. Can't wait to see him play. Maybe he will get some scholar athlete of the week awards like JC did while he is at BU.

I really think we will all love this kid as a person. I also believe he is a talented player, but he has a very engaging and polite personality and is obviously bright. He will be a fans' favorite for sure.

Welcome Darian to the BU family! You can achieve all your dreams at BU and it sounds like we are a perfect fit!

One thing about this class they sound very athletic, they all seem to have a high basketball IQ and best of all represent our community with high standards. I like when we get players that take their studies serious. It just makes our school look much better.
