I don't think this has been posted here (at least recently), but tickets for the conference tourney go on sale at 10 A.M Dec. 15. Here are links with the information, etc.:

Since I live in St. Louis, I had thought about calling on the cell while waiting in line, but at the "last minute" this week, they scehduled another Hannah Montanna concert that will go on sale the 15th, too (but at noon). Kid Rock tickets go on sale at the Scottrade Center at 10 AM, as well. So, for any local folks (St. Louis area), the phone and web are probably the better route. Could you imagine waiting in line for MVC basketball tickets amongst Hannah Montanna and Kid Rock fans?

I had relied before on either getting tickets through my dad's season tickets priveleages, single game purchases down here, or scrounging/scalpping. However, my the seats the last few years have been bad, so I'm going to buy the seats early on my own and risk sitting next to a bunch of SIU fans ;-)

PS--I called the BU ticket office and they said they will not know where we are sitting as a University until February.

Why not order through the university, using your credit card?
$85.00 for an all session seat, prior to 1/1/08, and then you are assured of sitting with the good guys and or girls!:p

Also, for those that don't know, Bradley's hotel will be the Renaissance Grand Hotel again (for the 4th year straight). They currently do not list any rooms available on their website, but it might help to call the hotel directly if you are interested. They might have some rooms on hold for fans attending the tournament, so ask about that.

Also, the MVC will soon have a deal arranged with the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission for discounted hotel rooms. These rooms will go on sale Jan. 7, 2008.

Here is the Tournament site. Click on Hotel information and scroll to the bottom to see the info about the "supplemental fan block", and the phone number to call.--

I just tried to purchase all session tickets through Bradley and since I am not a season ticket holder, I can not purchase my tickets through the box office/BU. The guy said the school has a total of 750 all session tickets to sell and have sold over 400. This is the first year that non season ticket holders can not purchase prior to February through BU.

I guess I will try to buy all session tickets through the sites provided on Saturday.

I still may :-) If I can get decent seats with BU through other methods before then, I'll just unload what I buy Saturday. The woman in the BU ticket office had said I could get on the wait list through the university for $85 as an alumn, but that they already had a decent sized first-come list (she initially seemed a little confused when I told her the non-university tickets are going on sale Saturday). I've been getting tired of BU getting jammed in the corner of a large hockey arena, and since I'm starting to get a little older, I guess, I also am getting tired of bending my neck at odd angles in seats too small for me ;-) I haven't had seats near mid-court in about 8 years :-( The best I've had recently were some lower bowl endzone seats in our fist game 2 years ago.

I don't know if Pepsi or the St. Louis Post-Dispatch are doing their promotions this year, but in years past Pepsi cans and the paper, for a certain duration, had coupons for getting buy-one-get one free tickets at the box office down here. I have done that a couple times, and that may be a good route for folks, especially with families.

You don't have to be a season ticket holder if you are an alum.

I am not an alum and per the guy at the office it doesnt matter if I were or not, they are only selling all session tickets right now to season ticket holders who have completed their application.

That might change after Jan 1.

Houstontxbrave - I understand your frustration.

At any rate... I am not a season ticket holder but I am amongst the "bought and paid for" group (after they verified my alumni status).

I live in SLT too-you can volunteer with the alumni association and you get free tix to all the games. It was pretty fun last year. I only had to work 3 hours, and I plan on doing it again this year.

Why don't you want to wait in line with people for Hanna Montana tickets? Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday morning. I didn't know Kid Rock was still touring! I guess you could buy the HM tickets and sell them and see games for free. Crazy teenage girls' parents.

My biggest problem with the decison BU came up with about allowing only season ticket holders or apparently Alums to pre purchase tickets through the BU ticket office is it completely counterdicts what is advised by the Valley's website www.archmadness.com

I went round and round with the ticket office yesterday about this but the decision was KK's because some big donors were stuck up in the 2nd level last season. So, BU has decided that even though the Valley themselves advise to contact the Ticket office of the team of your choice to pre pay for all session tickets, BU is ignoring this and doing as they please.

extremely frustrating.

Why does Bradley only have 750 tix to sell? Does Bradley select the number or does the Valley assign it? What happens if the school doesn't sell their entire bloc? So they have to pay the conference for the tix anyway, thereby guaranteeing a sale?

I know that in the past Creighton has pre-sold significantly more than 750 tix, and I guess I was just under the assumption that the MVC wanted schools to more or less sell as many tix as they could (as long as the amount sold doesn't exceed total capacity), just leaving fewer to be sold to the general public.

Apparently the schools are given 750 each to pre sell and on or about Jan 1 they send the total number pre sold to the Valley office. Then the conference assigns seats and sections. I do not know if they are given more seats to sell past the 750 or if the 750 is only for the purpose of pre selling prior to Jan 1 at the $85.00 per seat rate.

I know tickets don??™t go on sale till tomorrow morning, but I can not find anything on ticketmaster regarding Arch Madness. Although I did find info on Kid Rock and Hannah Montana concerts! Just wondering if anyone had any inside on what to search for on ticketmaster or when info will be available. I want to be on ticketmaster as soon as tickets are available.

I agree with it does not make sense to not take orders on a first come basis as Arch madness tells you to get your tickets thru your host schools and if they have sold 400 tickets they still have almost half their tickets left with only 2 weeks left; if they have not ordered their tickets by now then their is a good chance that they are undecided about going; lets not hold back tickets for people that have not made up their mind and turn down requests for ones that have as 350 tickets seems like a lot to have at this date with the holidays coming up.

You have to order them through the MVC until after January 1, due to the "early bird" price and school allotment issues.

FYI per the Valley ticketing office the seats on sale through ticketmaster are in the end zones or in the upper levels.
