In an interview Buycks said-
"Wisconsin-Green Bay and Bradley are the two schools that have offered. Iowa State will probably be the next school to offer. Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago, and Northern Iowa are also in the mix. I actually took a visit to Wisconsin-Green Bay and had an outstanding time. I have been to Michigan State as well. Iowa State, Bradley and Illinois State are the favorites. Those are the schools that I am very interested in at this time."

He seems determined to take a visit to ISU. Is he aware that the redbirds have two pretty good SG's coming in this year with Eldridge and Hill?

There is a new article in WisHoops.Net about Dwight Buycks. It is a premium article, but it reports the following--
--Buycks says that in recent weeks both Memphis and Connecticut have been in contact.
--He has offers from Bradley University and UW-Green Bay, along with interest from Creighton, Holy Cross, Iowa State, Loyola of Chicago and Washington State.
--Buycks plans to take an unofficial visit to Bradley later this month, but may hold off on making a final decision on which school to attend until later in the fall.

He looks like a better shooting version of Daniel Ruffin in these video clips (this might require a password)--

In the article from today, Buycks says the top 2 teams on his list are Bradley and Memphis. Bradley has offered and Memphis has not offered, yet. He plans on visiting Bradley in the next 2 weeks.
Buycks has also had interest from Iowa State, Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago, Northern Iowa, and Wisconsin-Green Bay. He has just begun to receive contact from another school, UConn.
He says Bradley and Wisconsin-Green Bay have been up to the gym to watch him practice.

He would have to graduate from juco, so the earliest would be as a Fall, 2009 recruit. He is no longer committed to coming to BU, so Jim Les would have to recruit him again.

Sure it is possible, I just don't know how aggressively we are still pursuing him,
but I haven't heard that any other program is going hard after him, either.
One note on Rivals says Iowa State is looking but have not offered.

If he comes, it won't be until 2009 and he will have to graduate from juco and will be a junior, just like Boogie, David Collins, and Theron Wilson.

I thought DB would have been a starter by mid-season! I hope he still considers the Braves!

Who would he have started over? Warren? Crouch? Ruffin? Wilson? I think he may have cut into SM's playing time a bit, but who knows. All of our guards might be a little fresher if DB was on the roster, since his replacement (TCS) hasn't exactly worked out.

Buycks would fit into Bradley"s program perfectly as we use our guards better then most teams, hope he still wants to play at BU as I believe he could be the next great guard to play here.
