Pretty good list- will be interesting to see who stands out in college...

Let's look back --

In 2009 -- they TOTALLY missed on Marcus Jordan, Jordan Prosser, DSE, Arizona's Kyle Cain, and Tenn. State's Robert Covington.
The 2009 Chicago Tribune All State team had Jereme Richmond, Darius Smith, and Jonathan Mills as the "headliners"
They also had Brandon Paul, and Matt Vogrich on 1st team.
2nd team - Jack Cooley, DJ Cooper, Drew Crawford, James Kinney, Lenzelle Smith
Hon. Mention - Bertrand, Boatright, Brust, Burrage, Colvin.
..so of the 15 names -- after two years, really I think you could say only a couple have impacted the game to any great degree...and maybe more impact from the guys on the 2nd team than on the 1st team!

In 2010 they missed on..Walt Lemon, Phillip Jackson, Crandall Head (injured)
In 2010 here's who they picked...and again -- none have really been agreat impact yet...but several with potential to do so.
1st Team - Richmond, Blackshear, Meyers Leonard, Boatright, Rayvonte Rice
2nd Team- Duje Dukan, Jay Harris, Mike McCall, Alex Dragicevich, Chasson Randle
3rd Team - David Sobolewski, Lenzelle Smith, Dwayne Evans, Ahmad Starks, Brandon Spearman

the 2011 list doesn't think much of Max nor Donivine

These teams are based on high school accomplishment; not predicting future success. There are plenty of other news sources that do that.

How can you say they missed on Head when he was injured almost the entire season?

Good luck arguing that Rayvonte hasn't had a great impact. Almost any other year he would have been the MVC FOY.

And how can you say that they don't think much of Max? He was awarded 2nd team honors in one of the most talent-heavy classes to come from Illinois is quite some time. His teammates are 2 other Big 10 signees, arguably the best sophomore in the country, and a recruiting steal for the Valley.

I was responding to the comment by Braveman about who will stand out in college -- so that's why I addressed who has stood out in college....not too hard to understand...
Rayvonte had a nice year at Drake...but one of those tallest midget arguments...

BTW -- I think one real story is how very few Illinois kids since Derrick Rose and John Scheyer -- have moved on to college and really stood out.......
I mean really stand out like Gordon Hayward, Matt Howard, JaJuan Johnson, Sullinger, Jimmer, etc...have...
I would accept that Evan Turner & Demetri McCamey have but you kinda have to admit......
.. that 2009 1st Team of Jereme, Smith, Mills, Paul, & Vogrich -- hasn't had the success that past classes has had......
