2012 prospect Milton Doyle

got it. DSE had all kinds of trouble last year....I think this will be a much better year for him

Here's hoping he has a much better year. Can't be much worse. Another thought maybe Jake's parents could pay his way and he could be a walk on. Wasn't much of a factor last year either and they could probably afford BU. Just a thought. A person can dream can't he.

There's not one thing that will not let me believe that DSE will not have a better year.

I am still not convinced that DSE did not play last year with some kind of leg injury that caused his hang time and his driving shots to the basket to be off just a hair... He seemed to lack explosiveness from the get-go last season. I'm hopeful we'll see DSE average 13+ ppg with all of his stats greatly improved.

We can only hope. Maybe he did have an injury but I'm not into making excuses. I'm more into results. If he has a Soph like season we will be much better then last year with I'm assuming alot better inside game.

What was so surprising to me is that DSE looked strong last year, but had a heck of time finishing at the basket.

To me it seemed he lacked confidence near the rim. He should go up strong instead of hanging and trying to float the shot up. And like BB1 mentioned, he seemed to lack explosiveness on the offensive end.
I can see him putting up a great senior season - much like A-Dubb did 2 years ago. But I believe we have more scoring punch than we did 2 seasons ago when we pretty much relied on Drew to score or create plays. I don't see DSE averaging more than 15 ppg.
It would be nice to have 4-5 guys average around 10 ppg. (Maybe Pickett, Pross, Egolf, DSE, Lemon) while the other role players contribute some.

I'm looking for our scoring to increase to 65-70 this next season, which will keep us in a lot of games at the very least.

I agree. When I said strong, I was referring to his muscle tone. It wasn't as if he was a skinny kid going into the lane.

Has anyone heard the rumor that Doyle may be going to another MVC school? Man, I sure would hate for this to come back to bite us in the butt. :(

I have heard Colorado State and possibly Nebraska- but neither has extended a solid offer. He plans to make a couple more visits maybe next week.
This Saturday, Doyle is playing in the Norm Van Lier Chicago United Hoops Classic All Star game at the University of Chicago.
