2016 top target

btw- I would love to see Bradley land BOTH Kavell Bigby-Williams (power forward- 16.3 ppg/13.2 rpg) & Freddie McSwain (small forward- 14.6 ppg/8.6 rpg)...
two energetic guys that really get after it....
..and Bradley fans would love to see them on the court together with Koch Bar/Luuk van Bree/Ronnie Suggs, DLO, Callum, Scottie, Donte, Pittman, Joel.. etc..filling in the other spots...

a couple impressive sets of numbers from guys we've been talking about

-Kavell Bigby-Williams LAST NIGHT: we've offered & last night he did this...
He made 11-13, 35 points, 21 rebounds, 4 blocks, was 13-15 from the FT line
Here's more on Bigby-Williams - http://bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25912

-Freddie McSwain, Jr. LAST NIGHT: 9 pts, 12 rebs, 2 blk, Monday nite had 12 pts/16 rebs - avg 14.3ppg/9rpg
Here's more on McSwain, Jr. - http://bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=26004

-at John A. Logan College, Michael Tucker averaging 14.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg - listed as just a freshman juco player

-one other guy we've been mentioning - from Suffolk County CC Cheick-Sy-Savane - averaging 28ppg/41% 3-pt shooting - averaging almost 3 made treys/game

-Hank Mathews (son of ex-Brave Eddie Mathews) hitting 46.3% from the arc at Wabash College

-Canton product Hunter Rhodes (at Kirkwood CC in Iowa) hitting 47.4% from the arc

The top tier of our potential recruits for next fall is revised...(just the ones that have been already mentioned - some others are "speculatory" & "kept under wraps")
...some names are dropped and the guys who have been offered or visited recently are at the top..

Here's the game our coaching staff was at last night - nice that they flew out a day early to go do some recruiting, and thus they didn't get delayed like the rest of the team..

Here's a picture one of the CJOnline photographers captured just as Justin Roberts injured his shoulder in a collision...
he left the game after scoring 4 1st half points and did not return - and is said to have "dislocated" his right shoulder...
and undoubtedly will be out for a month or two.
This is one of the very sad but realistic factors about remaining "unsigned" well into your senior season...
Now that he's injured and perhaps won't even return again this year - he isn't likely to get any offers...and may be forced
to go the prep or juco route or play AAU ball again this summer after he's graduated.

after nearly 3 weeks out of the lineup, Justin Roberts of Lawrence, KS returned last night.
He was scoreless in the 1st half but 17 in the 2nd half to help Lawrence HS beat SM Northwest 59-54

One of the recruiting gurus named the schools that he has offers from, but Bradley apparently did not offer

Kavell Bigby-Williams had 8 pts & 19 rebounds in Gillette's big win 97-73 over Miles -Gillette is 27-1
Freddie McSwain's Neosho CC wins to go 23-4 ...stats pending
Last Night Justin Roberts of Lawrence, KS had 21, while Justin Roberts of Indianapolis Pike had 24

if anyone is interested...

here's a complete video replay of Freddie McSwain's game last night..
Neosho County CC at Independence CC...

Neosho won 80-75 and BU recruit Freddie McSwain is a 6-6 guy with hair that makes him look 6-9 - he is #21 in the dark uniform
He is very active and looks like a very good player...

been having a little fun with the idea that hopefully Nate Taphorn might want to play closer to home as a grad transfer...

but last night someone must have sent Northwestern head coach Chris Collins decided to sent Nate Taphorn in for 20 minutes, and Nate went 3-5 from the arc, scored 11 pts, grabbed 3 rebs and had an asst
...and just coincidentally Northwestern beats Virginia Tech 81-79 in OT- which they wouldn't have done without Nate's performance.

Nate Taphorn has to see the writing on the wall....
Again last night he did not see one second of playing time as Northwestern lost 71-61 to Purdue and shot horribly (just 6-27 from the arc)
The bench went 1-6 from the 3-pt line and in 64 bench minutes - nearly 1/3 of all the minutes played, the entirety of the bench contribution was just 12 pts while Purdue got 36 from their bench.

Northwestern drops to 5-9 in the Big Ten and their once hopeful chance of maybe an at-large bid is now gone. (RPI well over 100)
They have lost 7 of their last NINE and largely due to poor shooting - are 10th place in the Big Ten - and about to even be overtaken by Illinois
...and Nate's playing time has all but disappeared - he hasn't seen the court in a few games...

Nate shoots 40% from the arc and over the past two seasons is shooting 44%
...I hope Nate looks toward having a much better year next year if you know what I mean...

BTW - did you know that Brian Wardle is friends with Nate's dad who played basketball at UW-Green Bay and is still a supporter there...
and that Brian Wardle recruited Nate Taphorn when he was at Green Bay?

Justin Roberts, of Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Kansas assistant coach Norm Roberts, has committed to Toledo. Bradley was interested at one time, but did not appear to offer him.

Ben Coupet had 24 pts
Zach Norvell 16 pts
Nick Robinson had 12 pts/10 rebounds
Da'Monte Williams had 8 pts, 6 rebs, 5 steals, 3 assists, 3 blocks in huge blowout win for Manual 67-49 over Central

I like to dream as much as anyone else but once in a while I try to use a little logic. It is highly likely attend school with the 'big' boys.
