2018 & Beyond recruiting targets

Here's a kid from Racine WI, a place where several of our staff are quite familiar...

Nobal Days...Class of 2019 forward who just had a monster game with a quadruple-double
10 Pts, 16 Reb, 13 Asst, 10 Blks
...hope our guys have been in touch!!

https://twitter.com/Recru1t1ng_Guru/status/943364413586919426

Nobal Days is not exactly under-the-radar. He already has offers from Wisconsin, Marquette, Illinois, Northwestern, Nebraska, Kansas State, DePaul, and other major schools.

A couple more names-

2019 Kejuan Clements- 5'10" point guard from Simeon HS in Chicago. He is formerly from Racine, Wisconsin.
http://verbalcommits.com/players/kejuan-clements

2018 Armon Brummett- 6'3" guard from Decatur McArthur. He has always been considered a more likely football recruit until his senior season, and he is now putting up big scoring numbers for the basketball team. He has scholarship offers from Illinois State and Northern Illinois as a wide receiver. His twin brother has already committed to NIU on a football scholarship as a quarterback.

I believe two or three have already committed to other schools. I may have missed someone but I noticed Murphy and Washington were on the list and still uncommitted. Ivan Aurrecoechea was mentioned by you on here but I had not seen where Bradley was actively recruiting him.

Did I miss someone that has been made public?

Are you saying that Tremell Murphy would not be a good recruit? Also Ivan Aurrecoechea mentioned by you would seem to be a good recruit if Bradley is recruiting him. It is not as if we have not missed on some freshman recruits over the years. I will admit that I am too lazy to determine what is a recruit that didn't lived up to expectations of the coaching staff.

I don't think anyone is saying that the primary makeup of the team should be JC recruits but it would seem practical in some years to sign one or two, depending on the scholarships available. However, I will leave it up to the staff.

....if Bradley is recruiting him....

I do not know whether Bradley is recruiting Ivan Aurrecoechea. I'm not aware anyone said that.

The majority of the names in this thread that we have said Bradley is recruiting have been posted publicly somewhere. It takes a little searching, following twitter pages or websites of coaches or recruiting guys, or subscribing to pay sites to find them. A few names have come from other inside connections, but every name posted here that we have said has been followed, recruited, or offered by Bradley coaches is verified.

T-I agree we need to be careful to keep from overloading on juco kids but we need to look at juco options. In the JL era we had quite a few quality juco kids. Next year I rely think we need to look at an athletic forward or we have a real hole next year without Donte and I doubt we can fill that hole with a freshman. I’d love to be proven wrong but we don’t find many kids that come in and contribute like Childs as a freshman.

You are right, especially with late signing freshmen. Next year, in order to take another step forward, we need to add a couple skilled athletic kids who can contribute immediately, IMO. I think that is why our coaches are looking at a number of juco kids, when they have eschewed juco kids in the past 3 recruiting classes.
