ESPN's Joe Lunardi just posted the first edition of his 2020 bracket projection-
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...l/bracketology

He has Loyola as the only MVC team in the NCAA tournament bracket. I am not sure why he chose Loyola, though it might be as good a guess an any team. I would guess that Northern Iowa, and possibly Bradley, will be picked ahead of Loyola when the preseason poll comes out.

Seems like everyone defaults to Loyola when they do these brackets. All these 'pundits' do is remember Loyola making the Final Four, while in reality they don't know a thing about the MVC. Anyone who watches the MVC regularly would be hard pressed to pick anyone other than the MVC champs from the last 2 years. It's not like our team is getting worse!

I really can’t fault folks for picking Loyola. They return aall 5 starters plus cooper Kaifes plus some recruits. Do I think we will surprise and beat them-yes, but I can’t fault them being picked first. We have done great With two tourney wins and now need to do the double- both a regular season and tourney title.

The NCAA website posts NCAA Tournament bracket predictions by Andy Katz-

Loyola is a #9 seed, and Drake is a #10 seed.

The latest NET ratings- Loyola now at #10, Drake is at #35.

A lot could change in the final couple weeks, and I think the #10 seed for Drake might be a bit generous.
But how can the he justify giving Loyola a #9 seed, when they are currently the #10 team in NET ranking?

ESPN's Joe Lunardi updated his bracketology page today. He still has both Loyola and Drake in the tournament. But he dropped Loyola from a #8 seed to a #9 seed, and kept Drake as a #11 seed.

Yesterday's ESPN bracketology still had Minnesota in as a #10 seed. They lost tonight to Indiana to drop to 13-10 and 6-9 in the Big Ten, and they are in 10th place. Yet most experts still think they belong in the tournament. Their NET is 52. Of course, there is no way a team from a mid-major conference would be considered with that record and an NET of 52. Let's see if Lunardi keeps them in his next bracket projection.
