The early signing period for a National Letter of Intent starts today and runs from Wednesday, Nov. 8 to Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023.
There are 6 Bradley Scholarships that could be available:
Malevy Leon- now in his 5th year of eligibility and not eligible to return next season.
4 seniors- Duke Deen, Darius Hannah, Connor Linke, and Goanar Biliew (eligible for an optional Covid season)
1 open scholarship from Trey Pettigrew leaving

There is a small chance of a Bradley commitment.

That doesn't sound promising. We would be losing so much of our scoring and rebounding next year. Duke and and Darius could come back as you pointed out. Personally, I never was in favor of leaving so much until the last minute. It would be nice to get one or two in the fall and then concentrate scouting resources. Selflessly it also makes interesting news about the recruits senior year progress.

People throw brain teasers. Here is one from me.
They will have 6 scholarships open with losing a couple key players. How will they fill the 6 scholarships?. Here is my theory. They will fill 2 with high school players, and one with an impact player from the European group. The last 3 they will save til spring and go after transfers, J.C. players , or another European player

Wardle has typically gone after high school recruits more heavily than others. In the current environment he may have to change that though.

I don't think BW wants to leave roster spots until the last minute, but you don't want to take a player just to take a player. They set out their targets, and I am sure BW would love to have already locked up the roster, except maybe keeping a spot for a transfer pg. It's not like the coaching staff isn't working and recruiting.

This whole recruiting process has gotten so much more complicated. I’m pretty sure we will have at least 4 scholarships open. Hopefully Darius and Duke return and you could always have someone else leave like the unexpected departure of Zek and Terry Roberts the year before. The moving pieces with the portal just make the puzzle pieces so much more difficult to piece together both for the schools and the high school recruits. At least we are almost at the end of the added complication of the Covid year additional year of eligibility.

Agree. I expect him to recruit the transfer portal aggressively, since he may not find what Bradley needs in the remaining 2024 HS or juco class.
Though there have been some disappointing instances of portal players not working out here, the last couple years he has gotten a couple portal transfers who have contributed to last year's highly successful season- Duke Deen and Christian Davis.
And hopefully, Emarion Ellis and Kyle Thomas will continue that trend.
Portal recruiting, like any other recruiting, can be a crapshoot, and I think it will always have a significant percentage of recruits that don't fit in. But we've seen the same with some of Bradley's high school recruits, juco recruits, and foreign recruits in past years.

I would hope the players that are seniors and have a chance at staying because of the extra season have told our staff their future plans. I would like for Hannah and Deen to stay another season. I agree about it being tougher to recruit because of the portal. You definitely need to know up front as far as who will not be here next season in order to find the right replacements. I would want another pg, shooting guard, wing and center.

I think Deen will stay. I can see Hannah having a big season and wanting to play pro overseas but I'm hopeful he opts to return as well and helps us land little bro. Optimistic :p.
