2024- The basketball Tournament (TBT)

I don't see any Illinois "teams" either, but I do see a familiar face on the Daguys STL team. BU Alum Zach Andrews is listed as a power forward on their team...and if you notice they play the Red Scare, who has another familiar face on their roster, BU and Dayton Alum Josh Cunningham suiting up for them.
 
yeash- Zach & Cunningham are the only two who ever played at Bradley, altho Remy Abell did sign to play.
There are lots of ex-MVC guys, but none on teams that are Illinois-centered.
 
I haven't paid much attention to this year's The Basketball Tournament, but they are down to the Final Four teams.-
2-seed Forever Cougs (Houston alumni) will play 6-seed Eberlein Drive in one semifinal tomorrow night at 6:00 pm Central.
And 3-seed Carmen's Crew (Ohio State alumni) will play 2-seed La Familia (Kentucky alumni) in the other semifinal at 8:00 pm Central.
Both games are on FS1 cable network.

In the semifinals last night, Forever Cougs (Houston alumni) beat Eberlein Drive 76-73, and Carmen's Crew (Ohio State alumni) beat La Familia (Kentucky alumni) 76-70. The championship game will be tomorrow (Sunday 8/4) at 1:00 pm Central on the Fox Network.

For anyone interested, the championship game of The Basketball Tournament is at 1:00 pm Central time today, and is televised on the Fox Network (not on FS1 as previously posted).
 
Ohio State grad and former NBA player Jared Sullinger made the winning shot as Carmen's Crew (Ohio State alumni) beat Forever Cougs (Houston alumni) for the $1 million championship prize in the 2024 Tournament.

Sullinger was tough to stop in college...I think only played 2 (maybe 3) seasons there.
I remember that great team he was on as a Freshman, with Craft (PG) and Jon Diebler (the 3-pt specialist) among others.

The Shox got the best of them in the Sweet 16 in 2013. I was pulling for WSU hard to beat Louisville, and they had them by like 12 in the 2nd half, but ended up losing their shot to advance to the championship game.
 
Curiously, when Carmen's Crew won the championship in 2019, nearly all the members of the team were connected to Ohio State.
But this year's team had only 5 players out of the 12 team members who played at Ohio State.
