That makes the second year in a row that Bradley's leading scorer left and transferred to another MVC school.
Last year's leading scorer Caroline Waite transferred to Illinois State.

So when is the Bradley WBB coaching change coming? The AD completely destroyed her credibility and made it impossible for her to succeed.

I just can't imagine transferring in the conference of your previous school. Especially one that put you in a starring role

There are a lot of things that can impact a player now that wouldn't have been worth transferring before -

A friend who plays got on at another MVC team, (Jason Kent), the student body environment isn't as fun as the player thought it would be (Go to more of party school with big enrollment like ISU), etc. In the past a player would have stayed put because they would have to sit out an entire year to transfer, and likely couldn't even transfer to another conference team. Now it is really simple and if you have a friend or two or a boyfriend going to a school nearby in teh same conference, why not just transfer in?? I'm sure stuff like this is happening. Also, nothing to stop competitor schools from finding more NIL money to lure their conference foes players away as well.

I thought this one was interesting when I saw it earlier today.

I wonder if there was a falling out between father and son or, maybe, the son is transferring on good terms with his father because he wants more playing time. Sometimes, it's difficult for a son to play for his father as there is the difficulty of separating the father/son relationship from the coach/player relationship.

A little bit of a surprise- Evansville's leading scorer Ben Humrichous (14.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 41.4% from three) is in the transfer portal today.
He played 3 seasons at Huntington University, an NAIA school in Huntington, Indiana, then transferred a year ago and had a nice season for Evansville, helping them to a better than expected season. Evansville finished 17-18 overall, and 6-14 in the MVC. He has one season of eligibility left for his Covid year.
He reportedly might also declare for the NBA Draft and reserve the right to return to college. - https://twitter.com/JonChep/status/1773369366488252800

Yeah I get it. Just as the competitive person I am, I can't envision it.

Really nice press release from Evansville head coach David Ragland - https://twitter.com/UEAthletics_MBB/status/1773396388354707645

Wisconsin's AJ Storr hits the Portal...
He was 2nd Team All Big Ten but many view him as one of the top NBA prospects in the Big Ten,
and he also has declared for the Draft but keep open his options to return to college ball. (he is only 20 y/o)
He is currently projected as a mid to late 2nd rounder but also rumored to be interested in playing for the Illini,
who he was once committed to when he was still in high school in Kankakee, IL & Las Vegas.

He committed to the Illini out of HS. Then decommitted and went to St. John's. When he transferred last year the Illini allegedly inquired into him, but I am sure TSJ coming back killed that because they are so similar.

I remember several years ago they asked Homer Drew what he had to do to get his son, Bryce, to sign with Valpo. He said he had to pay his car insurance and sleep with his Mom...lol

Haha.... I never heard that before. Wouldn't those be NCAA recruiting violations?
