And Valparaiso, which has not been hit as hard by portal transfers as most MVC teams, did lose 2 players today to the portal.
Both players redshirted and did not play this past season for Roger Powell.
Luke Carroll- 6'6" G/F- played 2 seasons at Lake Land Junior College, though he tore his ACL midway through the 2022-23 season there. He transferred to Valparaiso and was a walk-on in 2023-24, but he redshirted as he continued to rehab from the knee injury. - https://verbalcommits.com/players/luke-carroll

Lual Manyang- 6'10" Center- Redshirted in 2022-23 at Hofstra, then transferred to Valpo. Redshirted in 2023-24 at Valpo due to a season-ending knee injury in the preseason. - https://verbalcommits.com/players/lual-manyang

Murray State lands a second player this weekend out of the transfer portal, and he seems to be a similar player to the commitment they got yesterday from Terence Harcum, a junior guard from Apalachian State, who has 1 season of eligibility left.

Today, Murray State got a commitment from Kylen Milton. He is a 6'4" 4th year guard of Arkansas Pine-Bluff. He started his career in 2020-21 with a season at Western Kentucky, then spent the last 3 years at Arkansas Pine-Bluff. This past season, he was a starter and averaged 17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and he shot 35.1% from three. He will have 1 season of eligibility left for his Covid year.

Enright is actually the 4th MVC transfer. Isaiah Rivera of UIC also has committed to DePaul.

DePaul should just drop out of the Big East and join the MVC with all the MVC and mid-major transfers they are landing. They will likely continue their string of last place finishes in the Big East with this strategy of only recruiting mid-major talent. But they might be able to be competitive in the MVC. :)

Larry and Kent both to Texas.

No word on Avila yet but could also be happening.

I am seeing that there are Texas fans who believe these Indiana State transfers are going to help lead them to a National Championship - https://twitter.com/BevoBrigade/status/1779706265616392635

Excuse me, but is that the same Indiana State that couldn't even get into the NCAA Tournament?

I am not trying to denigrate guys like Julian Larry and Jayson Kent, they are very good mid-major players. But they might not even be starters for a good Big 12 team like Texas.

The hype for this IN St squad is crazy. I like them and enjoyed watching them play, but I don't see Kent or Larry being all big 12 caliber.
