There's been a change in the Bradley schedule...

for some unexplained reason, the game time for the UT-Martin home game on Wed. November 12, which was stated previously as 7pm,
has been changed to 7:30pm on the Bradley schedule, but it remains "7 pm" on the UT-Martin schedule.

There is a kids event in the Civic Center Theater that Nov. 12 date, "Gabby's Dollhouse", a stage show version of a popular children's TV cartoon.. It is scheduled at 6:00 pm, and lasts 75 minutes. Maybe the Bradley game time was changed because of that.

Suppose to pick up my season tickets on Saturday but wondering are the Valley games going to have on them TBD since I have not seen any schedule so far with the game times on them.

Future Bradley opponent UMass-Lowell was just ranked #4 in the close America East preseason poll, and they did get one 1st place vote

I see no mention of any broadcast.

However, based on some new info posted on our opponents' schedules, I can now add the start times for some of our games
that previously were "TBA". There's still a lot that are "TBA" due to TV scheduling, but I added the ones that appear to be set for certain.
The new info is in RED, kinda embarrassing that so many games now have the times set yet BU's schedule still doesn't show these.

I see no mention of any broadcast.[of the St. Louis game]...

However, note that there is no broadcast information posted for any game on the Bradley schedule yet, and all the regular season games will at least be broadcast by WMBD radio, and nearly all will be televised or streamed by some media outlet. So maybe we can hold out hope that the St. Louis game might get get broadcast on WMBD. Does anyone know someone at WMBD who can clarify?

...
Dec. 6, Sat. 7pm- Home game vs Northern Illinois

Bradley's final non-conference game on Dec. 6 is against Northern Illinois. They were 6-25 last year, 2-16 and last place in the MAC. They are not expected to be much better this season. The MAC Preseason Poll was just released (yes, every other conference still releases the full preseason poll and many include the actual vote counts) and Northern Illinois landed a distant last.

I can clarify.
I just asked the station manager at WMBD, and they are not broadcasting the exhibition games. So there will be no local radio coverage of the Saint Louis game.
There does not appear to be any St. Louis station nor ESPN+ coverage either.

Nov. 3, Mon.- 10am (CST) vs. St. Bonaventure in Rock Hill, SC in the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon
we're a little more than a week away from the game against St. Bonaventure.

But once before when Bradley played St. Bonaventure- it became one of the most legendary games and stories
in all of college basketball, One of our old time fans recounted the story right here...
it's worth the read...

Here's more on that game

According to D1Docket, BU has added North Central to the schedule on December 14 at home (obviously). Will this be another Judson-type game? Were MEAC or SWAC teams not available?
Yea
This game is now a reality!

Bradley does add an additional game to the schedule on Dec. 14 as was revealed here a month and a half ago.

This game is at the Renaissance Coliseum, and it is not included in the season-ticket package.
Here is ticket information... what is a "VIP member"

Gameday Information
The Braves and Cardinals will tip off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, inside Renaissance Coliseum. Due to limited capacity, this game is not included in season-ticket packages.

Tickets
Tickets are priced at $20 and will be released in phases beginning Wednesday, Oct. 29. Each priority group will have access to purchase tickets at the times listed below and will receive an email about how to purchase their tickets on the day of their specific priority group.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 29 (8:00 a.m.) – VIP members and current Bradley University students (see additional student information below)
  • Thursday, Oct. 30 (8:00 a.m.) – Current season ticket holders
  • Friday, Oct. 31 (8:00 a.m.) – General public

Bradley's opponent for the Dec. 14 game in the Renaissance Coliseum is North Central College, a Division III school in Naperville, IL. They are a member of the CCIW (College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin).
They were 15-12 last year, and 7-9 in the CCIW.
The CCIW Preseason Poll was just released last week, and North Central was picked 7th in the 9-team conference-

Their roster has 23 players listed, including one player from Peoria Heights.

As is common for most D3 schools, they do not have much size. Their tallest player is 6'8" junior Ethan Marlowe, who is from St. Charles North HS, which is the same school that produced former Bradley player Connor Linke. In fact, Marlow was the backup center behind Connor Linke for Linke's junior and senior seasons at St. Charles North.-

Their schedule does not show this game, yet, but the Bradley schedule does not show it, either.
According to North Central's schedule, they play a road game Saturday, December, 13, at North Park University in Chicago, at 4:15 pm. That will be a difficult weekend for North Central unless a change is made. They will have to finish that conference game Saturday night, Dec 13, in Chicago, then travel down to Peoria, and prepare to play Bradley at 1:00 pm the next day, Sunday, Dec 14.

One other interesting finding.... Apparently, after more than 15 years in use, Bradley's Renaissance Coliseum is now being officially referred to as "Renco", per this image from the Bradley basketball website-

I'm a pretty loyal Bradley fan, a season ticket holder since I moved back to Peoria in 1991, going to every Arch Madness since 1992, but I'm not paying $20.00 to see a glorified exhibition game especially at Renco. There are grade school gyms that are more comfortable to watch a game at then Renco.
