2025 and beyond recruits

haha....wasn't meant as a slight to Tennessee...just more how I wasn't paying attention to what was going on at home...we had a great time in Gatlinburg
Gatlinburg is a great area! My parents got married in Morristown and honeymooned in Gatlinburg. My Grandmother lived in Morristown

J.Henry was an excellent rebounder for Bradley.
Amen, give me high effort players and let the dice fall the way they fall. High effort teams will always compete and BW has a way of getting the best out of the team by season's end. I'd be happy with another JHen or two (or three)!

.....
...The way he carefully worded that, suggests to me that they are still recruiting and if the opportunity comes along that they could add another player that could improve this team, they will take it.
......
And to repeat what I've said a few times, I do believe this team should add another good rebounding forward who can also defend.....
I am glad Coach Wardle always consults BradleyFans for his recruiting.... ;)

I cited that, and I am sure you know why, because....

I saw, read & heard many different "experts", in the media, "news", social media and just random talk -
saying that Coach Wardle was DONE recruiting for 2025-
even some who assured everyone that they knew this for a fact....

But anyone with common sense or who knows college basketball - knows
that a GOOD coach NEVER stops recruiting - always ready for any unexpected event or departure that allows another spot on the roster.
Kudos to Coach Wardle and here's wishing for Handy Toussaint III to have a great career at Bradley!

Need a new flag for the practice floor.

I posted that because after the departure of Mayar Wol, a look at the roster showed only one player (Corey Thomas) who was suited to play or defend the "4" position (power forward) effectively. Jonovic and Yu are "5" players, center/post, and not "4" players. Timo might have gotten some time at the 4 this season, but that is not a position he is suited for or which he played in Europe. A.J. Smith has always been labelled as a guard or a "guard/forward" in high school, and at Southern Indiana and James Madison.
So that meant that Corey Thomas was Bradley's only "4" player. But he isn't really a typical 4-type like the power conference teams have. Corey is more of what is now called a "stretch 4" (definition). He'll be very valuable to this year's team, but the addition of a powerful, athletic "4" like Toussaint, especially one with 2-seasons of high-level juco experience, will be a valuable addition for this season. And it could give Bradley better depth and inside presence to compete in the postseason. Just another great addition! Go BU!

Btw, the new staff members played a key part in the recent recruiting and landing of Handy Toussaint. They are already doing great work for Bradley. So for those concerned that Bradley's recruiting would fall off sharply by losing 5 terrific coaches and staff like Mike Bargen, Jimmie Foster, Pat Althoff, Darrell Brown, Jr., and Gavin Block in the last few months, it looks like things are just fine and the future is bright.

Proof is in the pudding as they say. Hope he really gives us an extra inside presence. Roughly three months and counting for the season opener. Ready to roll.(y)

Yes, Bradley offered Stefan Cicic (2024 recruit) of Riverside-Brookfied HS a year ago. He committed to Tulane, but as noted, he is back in the portal for 2025.

A 2024 player that Bradley offered in high school 2 years ago at Riverside-Brookfield HS in Illinois, 7-footer Stefan Cicic, ended up at Tulane for the 2024-25 season. Injuries limited him to just 3 games, and he entered the transfer portal. Bradley was in contact again, but he transferred and played at Pepperdine for the 2025-26 season. There, as a redshirt-freshman, he averaged 4.5 ppg and 2.6 rpg.
He is now back in the transfer portal, and it would seem like he might be someone Bradley would be interested in recruiting again.
