2025 and beyond recruits

It's good to know he's been limited by injury this season, which explains his limited playing time at USA. Ethan had 7 or 8 D1 offers, so just about everyone, including me, thought he'd be a good D1 player. I hope he recovers soon.

Speaking of kids who were underappreciated as high schoolers, here is a story about kid everyone is familiar with, who had no college interest when he was in high school, but with hard work and a late growth spurt, made himself into a pretty good D1 player.
Christian Davis.....

Here is a short interview with Christian Davis- this week’s Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, presented by State Farm- https://twitter.com/MVCsports/status/1753131104331305463

No question about that. I agree. I've never seen Mason play, but from people who have, they believe he is the best player on a team loaded with kids who have or will have D1 scholarships.

I've heard the same thing but have had others say Zobrist is by far the player with the most potential. They say, actually, he makes everyone else on the team better.
Sounds a lot like Connor Hickman.

Yes. I was not including the other important recruiting factor--> potential. That is why some kids who aren't necessarily the best players on their high school team will get D1 offers, and others who may be higher scorers or more valuable players do not. Matthew Zobrist and Cooper Koch are seen by D1 coaches as having a higher upside.
I do think Tyler Mason is good enough to play at some D1-level schools, and he might end up there after all. :).

... there are no reports yet that either Trey Pettigrew or Emarion Ellis have entered the transfer portal. We don't know what their status is at this point. Even if they did enter the portal, I am not sure the scholarships players can be reused for the 2nd semester.

I've seen a report that Emarion Ellis has entered his name in the transfer portal. There have also been reports that he has considered a transfer to Grambling, but there is no official confirmation.
I still cannot find any report that Trey Pettigrew is in the transfer portal.

I thought I read Ellis was transferring to Nichols State

I would be concerned about us bringing in another freshman recruit because that would give us 3 freshman out of the 5 open spots. That leaves us only 2 open spots for transfers unless more players are leaving after this season. We need to replace Leons and could use another shooting guard and a 6-8 inside player or wing.

I have no problem with 3 Freshmen. That would leave to 2 spots for transfers that could bring experience to blend with the ones returning. However so far our positive percentage of transfers has not been very good

Watched stowers from central last night. He has a good skill set and has nice looking shot. He would be a good get. On another note the coaching staff at central should be reprimanded for their out of control behavior with the refs in first half of game. game had to be stopped several times .
