Metamora just tipped off against Dunlap at Dunlap (3A)

Peoria Manual wins in Tremont over Tremont 72-36

Halftime score
Manual 38 - Macomb 17

right at halftime there was a dust-up
three Macomb coaches rushed the floor at the halftime buzzer and got right in the faces of the refs,
causing the refs to request security to escort the coaches off the floor.
Then some fans started tossing debris and were immediately identified and ejected.
Police escorted "multiple Macomb fans"

Note- the game has been very physical, lots of contact and a fair number of fouls.
It appears that Macomob is not used to being bullied or played physically and they turned the ball over a whole bunch of times,
and it appears that the Macomb coaching staff was furious about the contact and felt they were being disadvantaged by the referee's calls.

Final score
Manual clobbers Macomb 65-46 - Macomb ends their season 25-6.
Manual advances to the Sectoinal Final Friday 7pm at Sherrard against the winner between Sherrard/Downs Tri-Valley
Richardson 24 pts

Very very excited to finally not only get a 4 star recruit but even better from Peoria! It's been quite a while to keep a peoria player home! The entire city is going to love to cheer on D.Richardson! With our recruiting class very talented, and if we can secure at least a very good portal player, expectations may be high next year! I think BW will tell his new team next year that we can win now! We can get back to the Championship game!!!! It can be done in a year! I'm sure other teams have had a total overall and make March Madness! Utah State had that happen to them last year and it was Bradley's Best Win! No matter what, I'm more excited then ever to Not only root for overlooked players like Montana Wheeler that high majors didn't want, but to Cheer on 2 local Peoria and Metamora gifts to BU in D.Richardson and M.Zobrist! Next year is gonna be Fun and may shock the country!!!!!

Springfield Supersectional - in the 4th quarter Manual leads 48-24 over Williamsville
If Manual holds on, they will play at STATE in Champaign at 3:45pm Thursday vs. the winner of tonight's Joliet Supersectional
between Chicago Dyett vs Bismarck/Henning
The Championship game then for 2A is Saturday at 3pm

update- Manual wins 52-29, Richardson reportedly had 19 points but those are not the official stats

(Peoria Central & head coach Daniel Ruffin are just tipping off in Pontiac vs. Chicago Brother Rice)

update- Peoria Central trailing at half in Pontiac, 29-15, Brother Rice making all their shots.
In Jacksonville IL, 1A Supersectional Peoria Christian 53 - Greenfield 42 in the 4th quarter

Last update---
three Peoria teams played in Supersectionals tonight...

1A- Peoria Chrstian (28-9) defeats Greenfield 66-49, they play Thursday morning at 11:15am in Champaign vs Lanark (Eastland)
2A- Peoria Manual (23-12) beats Williamsville 52-29, play Thurs 3:45pm in Champaign vs Chicago Dyett, Richardson 19pts
3A- Peoria Central loses to Chicago Brother Rice 60-41, their season ends at 29-7

all the games are not final yet, but looking like 8 of the 16 boys teams going downstate are private schools,
and in the girls last week, 6 of 16 were private schools
Recall that in IHSA football, 7 of the 8 classes were won by private schools, & half the VB titles and 2/3 of the BSoc titles.
The debate goes on

Would a fan out of the area be able to watch a game?

Last year, 2024, every NIT game was either broadcast or streamed on one of the ESPN platforms. - https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-...nal-invitation-tournament-beginning-march-19/

This year, the 2025 NIT has released this info - https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketbal...-bracket-schedule-tv-channels-mens-tournament

The semifinals and final will be on ESPN and ESPN2, but it looks like they have not yet committed where the first 3 rounds will be televised.
I think they will be viewable somewhere for you LongTimeFan, probably on one of the ESPN channels, but if not, likely on ESPN+.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I assume he means the Manual games.
