yeah...especially on the road. I wouldn't want the home to get a chance at a three to tie it up
 
OMG Creighton is so lucky!!!!

steal then a 3 then a offensive foul by SIUC so CU has a chance to take the lead

Shouldn't ever have gone to overtime, but giving up 6 points in about 5 seconds twice (at the end of regulation and the end of overtime) is ridiculous
 
I thought the basketball gods were going to frown on creighton after that ridic foul call that caused the OT. Those basketball gods are fickle indeed.

Freshman? Dillard, two key turnovers and a bad foul on a 3 pointer in the guts of the game.
Ryan Hare? what was he doing/ Oh well.
Salukis in a funk, are ripe for the picking on Sunday!

Darn it! I wanted some separation from Creighton and wanted SIU ripe for a letdown. Uggh. As I said before the season, Creighton isn't the unstoppable force everyone thought they were. isu's 14-0 was clearly fraudulent. This conference is up for grabs. Might as well be our turn.
 
i can't believe the southern game. just fueling creighton. two home losses this early would have changed their momentum. now they are on top of the world and SIU will be angry sunday.

I hope we are ready to head into the snake pit that is SIU arena. Maybe they will have a let down game. Maybe we work all week on shooting and blow the doors off the place as well as play D like Southern used to. Winning @ SIU used to be pretty much impossible, but now who knows. The Valley can be ours if we want to take it bad enough.....
 
SIU totally blew this game. Twice. You just don't foul on a 3-point shot. You foul before he gets it off. In OT I thougt SIU lost their composure in the last 1:00 and Creighton took advantage of it. Don't know that I've watched a game where I saw so many guys hit the floor and not see a foul called. We are going to need to bring it hard for 40 minutes if we're going to bea SIU on Sunday.
 
Well, SIU showed what I expected of them. Very talented and pretty young and inexperienced. Good enough to hang with CU, not established enough to beat them. This at least leaves the door open to the possibility of a BU win down there.. If our guys are composed, smart, and play with poise, I think they can gut them out over the course of an ugly dogfight.
 
After watching the game on the delay, SIU really got screwed by the refs on that foul call on Dillard with 3.3 left in the game, that was ALL ball
