3 MVC games Wednesday 2/18

Trying to figure out who we want to win these games. Obviously we want UNI to win at this point to stay in front of Creighton since we are probably headed to the 4-5 game. If CU can somehow pass UNI, then we probably want ISU to lose to WSU tonight, but I'd rather avoid WSU in the 4/5 game if possible too. I think we want SIU to win so there's a possibility we play them in St. Louis.
 
As far as what we want to happen below us, we want the home teams to defend the home court and we want the 3 way 8-10 logjam for 5-7. That takes away tiebreaker points and goes to round-robin, where we draw a depleted Saluki team, the Aces get the death match with the Redbirds, and our beloved Shuckers go to the play-in round. The Shucks are by far the most dangerous team of those three, and after CR's bush league shot against them, I want nothing to do with a hot and motivated Shocker team.

Above us all that matters is that UNI wins the title outright. A tie with CU means CU is waiting for us on Saturday, and that's as good as a loss.

I am still holding out that glimmer of hope for third place, but more realistically, you probably hit the nail on the head here.

I still have that hope for 3rd too, I really do. If WSU pulls the upset tonight and continues to win, and we win out, and ISU splits their last two (possible with UNI and CU to finish), we might somehow eek them out in tiebreaker points. I just don't know how that all shakes out. If somehow we finish in 3rd, I would hope that CU comes back to take the title and we get UNI in the 2-3 tilt Saturday afternoon. But, one step at a time. :)

Amazing, the Drake announcers didn't know they get a fresh 10 second count.
