There are 4 MVC games tonight, Friday, Nov. 11-

These are 4 really tough games. The betting lines are -6.5, -7.5, -9, and -10.5, and all have the MVC teams as underdogs.
It could easily end up 0-4. But, let's hope it ends 4-0 for the MVC!

Utah State (Kenpom #63) is one of the toughest teams to beat on their home court.

The Belmont game at Furman should be an indicator of how Belmont might fare in the MVC this year. Furman is at #69 on Kenpom, and is also very tough to beat at home.

UNI lost to Richmond (Kenpom #88 ) last year in Cedar Falls, and UNI is not nearly as strong this year.

And, it would probably take a miracle for UIC to upset Loyola (Kenpom #72), but IMO, Loyola is a bit overrated this year. They do not have the shooters they have had in past years. They struggled at home with Fairleigh Dickinson in their first game, and were lucky to beat them in overtime. Former Valpo player Sheldon Edwards' 19 points were the difference for Loyola. FDU is not a very good team (Kenpom #348 ). They were 4-22 last year and were picked tied for 6th in the 9 member Northeast Conference in this year's preseason poll.. Go UIC!

Loyola beats UIC to make it 0-3 for the MVC, so far.
Final score- Loyola 70 UIC 63

UIC stayed close most of the game, but Loyola continued their hot shooting the entire game (27-49, 55%), and outrebounded UIC 35-21. What kept the game close was Loyola's uncharacteristic 25 turnovers, and 26 personal fouls.
