There are 4 MVC games Sunday, Nov. 24
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba.../date/20191124

The Evansville-Morgan State game starts at 10:00 am Central

Unfortunately, none of the MVC teams currently playing in tournaments (Evansville, Valpo, Missouri State, Indiana State, Illinois State) have a chance at a championship. SIU, which already played in the Sunshine Slam in early November went 1-2 in that tournament.

Here are the tournaments that all 10 teams participated in this season-
Bradley- Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-off- Nov. 25 and 27
Drake- Gulf Coast Showcase Nov. 25-27
Evansville- The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase- Nov. 22-24
Illinois State- U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam- Nov. 22-25
Indiana State- Junkanoo Jam- Nov. 21-24
Loyola- Cayman Islands Classic- Mon.-Wed., Nov. 25-27
Missouri State- Charleston Classic- Thu.-Fri. and Sun., Nov. 21-22 and 24
Northern Iowa- Cancun Challenge- Tue.-Wed., Nov. 26-27
Southern Illinois- The Sunshine Slam, November 8-10
Valparaiso- U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam- Fri.-Mon., Nov. 22-25

Lets hope the teams that start tournaments this coming week do better- Bradley, Drake, Loyola, and Northern Iowa all start play in warm weather tournaments Monday (BU, DU, LU) or Tuesday (UNI).

ESPN.com has an article pointing out the correlation between November tournament winners and success in March. All Final 4 teams last year won holiday tournaments, and the last national champ not to win a holiday tournament was Louisville in 2013, which finished 2nd to Duke in Maui.

30-24 vs. Division I.

This is pitiful, and will continue to lead the Valley winner to 14-16 seeds. I was very optimistic after Evansville beat Kentucky, but the league is just not strong. For one I thought MO St would be much better than they have been.

The MVC, which was ranked 8th in conference RPI a little over a week ago, has now dropped to 15th-

There are still a lot of non-conference games remaining, but MVC teams have some work to do.
