Murray State is now 7-0 in the MVC, but their schedule has been the least challenging of any MVC team. The only win they have over a team with at least a .500 record was the win over Bradley. Their other wins are over Valpo (twice), Evansville, SIU, Drake, and UIC. They have not played UNI, Belmont, Illinois State, or Indiana State.

Belmont fell behind 12-0 and never lead the entire game at Drake until Sam Orme made a layup with 1 second left in the game to give Belmont their only lead and the win 78-76.

Belmont improves to 15-3 overall and 5-2 in the MVC.

Getting the 2 or 3 seed would be advantageous. While 1-5 all get a Thursday bye, the 4 and 5 play each other, so only the 1-3 have a rest advantage on Friday. Plus 2 and 3 are on the opposite end of the bracket of the #1.
