In the other games today...
UNI at Valparaiso- both teams struggled to score for much of the game. Valpo lead at Halftime 22-18. It stayed close for the first 16 minutes of the 2nd half. UNI held a 1 point lead, 44-43, until 4:08 left in the game. Then Valparaiso outscored UNI 11-0 over the final 4:08 to win 54-44.
Valpo shot only 33% overall and 26% from three, but improved to 9-10 overall and 3-5 in the MVC.
UNI lost their 4th MVC game in a row to drop to 12-7 overall and 4-4 in the MVC. It's their first 4-game losing streak since the 2022-23 season.

Drake at UIC- UIC jumped out to an early lead and never trailed in the game. It was 34-22 at halftime, and UNI maintained their lead through the 2nd half to win 74-67. UIC got 21 points from freshman Andy Johnson, and 20 points from Ahmad Henderson. Jalen Quinn had 28 points for Drake, but didn't get much help from anyone else. UIC improves to 9-10, 4-4, and Drake drops to 9-10, 3-5.

Indiana State at Murray State- Murray State has lead almost the entire game, but Indiana State made a late comeback to close a 12 point margin down to 2 points in the final seconds. But Murray State held on for the close 85-81 win. Murray State improves to 16-3, 8-0. Indiana State drops to 9-10, 2-6.

Belmont scored the last 12 points to take a 32-24 lead over SIU at halftime. SIU shooting poorly, as usual (32% overall, 30% from three). Belmont, the top FG% shooting team in the MVC shot 39% overall. And they are one of the top 3-point FG% teams in the country, but they were just 3-13 (23%) from three in the first half.
