Looks like RA is still @ his Juco, Northeastern finishing summer school before he can come to Peoria!

It's almost as if he's beem reading Bradleyfans.com to get his story and info

I really liked this quote:
All of the returnees have markedly sculpted their physiques. Sophomore guard Andrew Warren has been an offensive force, and junior center Sam Singh looks to be in the best shape of his career.

I've always thought that this year hinges on Andrew Warren, and I think he'll be one of this year's top players 8)

Good report by Dave!

He also comments on Bradley's recruiting of Iman Shumpert. I would love to see more reports about Bradley's recruiting.

Well he answered my posts on here about Austin. I am starting to think I may be underestimating the impact of Warren this year. I like the kid and think he had a solid year last year but always forget about him when thinking of who will be impact players this year. My mistake.........

I wonder how much it will hurt Austin getting here late?

I'm glad to hear Rashad is still going to be here though I wish he were able to work-out with the team and get to know them sooner. I wish him luck on his remaining classes at Northeastern.

Regarding Austin- I doubt it will affect him as much as it would affect the freshmen, or the guards. He is said to be the strongest inside player we have in the recruiting class, so he may not need the weight works as much as others. And inside players usually fit in with a new team quicker than guards do.
So as long as he does graduate and get here, he'll be fine. And Eric Buescher's quote is reassuring.
"He's finishing up his course work and will be here when school starts (for fall semester)," BU associate coach Eric Buescher said. "There's no reason to be alarmed. He will graduate from Northeastern. At this point, I have zero concerns."

Something about the "strongest" recruit we have coming in 3 months after the fact makes me hope this kid is a Bradley-calibur, classy guy. I hope he takes the time to get to know the guys and the program before any kind of showboating or whatever.

I think smitty meant strongest... as in muscles.

Somewhat concerned that Austin is not able to participate in summer workouts as you get to know your teamates before the school year starts.

I agree. I don't like the sound of this one bit. I didn't think qualifying was an issue for Austin. If he's still taking JUCO classes, it means this is coming down to the wire. He's also missing all of the conditioning and lifting that the other players are getting in. We've all see what wonders Ronnie Wright can perform in a summer, and Austin is missing all of it. I honestly think this could have him playing catch-up all season, which is not good IMO.

I couldn't agree more. This kid showed some real promise and athleticism in limited time as a true freshman. I'm looking for him to break out as one of our top players and to really be a factor in the coming years at bradley.

It'll be interesting to see how much better Andrew Warren gets on the defensive end. There were so many times last year that he tipped the ball, but didn't get it. It was said in my group many times last year "That's two points the other way next year." Hopefully, that prediction comes true.

I'm nervous about Austin. It sounds like the margin of error is down to zero.

I also am sure smitty meant strongest in terms of his muscular development.

I had a chance to meet and talk to Rashad Austin last winter when he visited for a game. My impression was he was a very polite, quiet, and humble kid. He told me he loved his visit to Bradley and really wanted to come to BU. His father favored him playing out west closer to his home in Southern California, but I believe Bradley was always Rashad's preference.
Let's pull for him to get his work done in Colorado, and get here asap. He is a key guy among the new recruits.

I am not worried about him as far as the type of person he is because I trust the staff and believe he is a good young man; I only wish he was here now so he would have adjusted to the players and B.U. as a whole before the start of fall classes; Also does anyone know where coach Les got the Bradley t-shirt he was wearing at his basketball camp as the bookstore does not have them?

I've been thinking the same thing, not only in regards to the PJS, but also the number of television reports the team has been getting this offseason. I believe it will all lead up some of the best crowds ever at CA in terms of intensity as well as numbers!

Midnight Madness would also be a truly great way to get things hyped up even more!

I'm really hoping the team does something special with this Red/White game as it'll be the last one in the Fieldhouse.
