8 MVC games Saturday, Dec. 16

In today's final game, SIU lost to Wichita State in Wichita, 69-68. The game went the way several recent Bradley games have gone. SIU stayed close for most of the game, and had a couple leads late in the 2nd half. But then they fell behind by a couple possessions late, came back again and got within 1 point inside the final minute, but couldn't close it out.- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401577589

SIU drops to 6-4. Xavier Johnson had 23 points. And Jarrett Hensley, the transfer from Cincinnati who was initially ruled ineligible because of the 2-time transfer rule, played for the first time following this week's temporary restraining order. He had 8 points in 16 minutes off the bench.

The MVC finishes Saturday 3-5.
 
One non-MVC game... Former Peorian Adam Miller, whose first scholarship offer was from Bradley when he was a freshman at Manual, is now at Arizona State. He was also ruled ineligible for this season because of the NCAA's 2-time transfer rule. But he also played tonight for the first time, and was the game's leading scorer with 20 points in his debut, leading Arizona State to a 79-59 win over TCU- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401607342
