I agree with the assessment on AT...he needs to get used to playing in front of a large crowd...get the nerves out of the way...it looks like now he will have to do that in front of a large hostile environment of Michigan State!![]()
Would a lack of effort include being 7' and unable to convert an uncontested dunk or letting guys go right by you on the other end of the floor. I used to give DC the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not so sure anymore. He immediately came in and showed why he hasn't been on the floor lately. I just wish he would show some aggression and realize the opportunities he is being given.
He isn't the first guy to mis a bunny....SS missed a point blank layup last nite also. Booooo Sam Singh. Booooo.
If someone can prove DC is tanking it, not giving all he has or just plain doesn't care then boo him but IF that was the case JL wouldn't even be playing him so its pointles to let him here boos raining down from his BU family. DC is just not a real good basketball player at this time.
I think he's giving us what he has. I don't mind people questioning his skills and being upset with his play/performance but to "boo" the guy is just senseless IMO. HOW does that help?
The kid needs positive reinforcement IMO. He admitted last year his confidence just wasn't there.
I'm pulling for him and I hope everyone else is also.
I agree that it doesn't make sense to "boo" your own players. After Will was helped off the court, I remember telling the guy a couple seats away from me that Collins needs to learn how to play real fast. The guy responded that "he better get aggressive". As I said before, Collins came in and immediately showed exactly why he has not been on the floor lately. I believe the obligatory "COME ON.....FINISH!" was in order. However, I did not "boo".

.....I was frustrated with what I saw and didnt see on the floor last night and for most of DC'S tenure as a Brave. If DC plays at MSU like he did last night, DC will get his *** kicked by the MSU post players....Last night we needed to "finish" with DC in the lineup and we didnt! I am sure that DC is a nice guy, but the time has come to give AT some minutes which will benefit AT and our program in the future.

Let's just support the guys on the floor because I truly believe they are the best guys out there that can deliver the win.
Too bad there is no clapping smilicon because you hit that one perfectly...
I apparently was the only one that did not see any hustle or attempt at playing the game from DC last night...I saw more of an "oh, I got to play because Will's hurt, but hey I wasn't ready to play" type of effort...
AT could not have been any worse regardless of what type of excuses the DC bandwagon wants to feed everyone...
And no one wants to boo, but really, everyone pays good money for their tickets not to see a 7 footer getting stuffed by the rim on an uncontested dunk...I assure you that you will not get much help patting the guy on the back there...
I hope for a turnaround w/ him, but there is about a 5% chance at this point of that happening, especially w/ his lack of effort and skill on the defensive end and in the rebounding game.
I'm not disputing his poor play but I just ask prove to me its from lack of heart/desire or effort. Do you really think JL would play him at ALL if that were truly the case.
I'm only discussing "booing' the guy. Listen if YOU think thats the way to get him going...go ahead. Personally I think a person boos just to make themself feel better.
I don't know about being on DC's bandwagon but I do understand he is part of MY BU family and I just don't believe ripping and railin on the guy serves any purpose other than to calm some inner frustrations.
DC needs to play better and the ONLY way that will happen is through good coaching, practice and playing time. He maybe as good as he is ever going to be but we have seen flashes of what he CAN do just no consistency.

I think booing DC for bad play is stupid. It realy bothered me last night. Yeah, he missed a bunny. Yeah, he was weak on D. Either way, he was out there trying. He was actually more mobile and active on the court than he's looked for a while. He may have been out of position or had bad hands, but none of those things are things you should boo a player for. He's what we've got, so we have to support him.
Two booable offenses for a Bradley player should be bad attitude or bad effort. I don't think DC exhibits either of those traits. Booing DC is like Bears fans booing Rex Grossman for playing bad. It's more about how you wanted him to be a better player, than anything related to his actual game.
Anyway, I'm also in agreement. AT should have seen the floor last night. We're going to need him if Egolf is down with this injury. The only defensible excuse is if he's hurt, or the coaching staff thinks he'll get hurt by playing out there. The other thing is if he's completely mailing it in in practice... Otherwise, he needs to be playing, especially in a blowout.
