Here is an article about Wichita State's home game against Cleveland State. It is interesting because the Wichita beat writer says this-
"Officially, today's basketball game isn't part of the BracketBusters series because it isn't on TV."-
http://www.kansas.com/sports/shockers/story/707244.html

Is that true? Does the term "Bracket Busters" apply only to the games that are shown live on ESPN? Bradley's game is televised locally in Chicago and Peoria, so does that qualify as a "Bracket Buster" game?

Here is Dave Reynolds' report on the BU-Loyola game-

How many of these games do we think the Valley wins?

I don't think that UNI will be able to win at Siena. and Tennessee-Martin doesn't lose many at home (only 1 this season), and they have won 11 games in a row, and 17 out of their last 18. However, the Ohio Valley is so weak it's hard to judge how good Tenn.-Martin really is. MSU might have a chance, but i doubt it.
The other 7 games are quite winnable for the MVC. The MVC could go 7-2 if they win those 7, but I actually think it will be 6-3 or, at worse, 5-4.

Indiana St.+9 1/2 who is playing well right now, thanks to a red Hot Jay Tunnell, Drake +6 and Wichita,-1 who plays extremely well "at home". Creighton +8 who will win The Valley tournament and probably the regualr season., Bradley,+1 1/2 IF we play tougjh D and bring our A game. 5-4 looks like the best we can do.
This would make The Valley 5-5 for The BracketBuster.

My predictions.....

61 - Toledo
67 - Indiana State

66 - Northern Iowa
71 - Siena

64 - Cleveland State
63 - Wichita State

62 - Miami (Ohio)
61 - Evansville

65 - Bradley
64 - Loyola-Chicago

65 - Missouri State
74 - Tennessee-Martin

65 - Southern Illinois
69 - Illinois-Chicago

70 - Austin Peay
71 - Drake

65 - George Mason
70 - Creighton

I'm excited to see some of the Valley teams in action. They need a Mid-Major network. Only show these kind of games. This is what college basketball is about!

I like Ind.St. and Creighton and I think Bradley has as good a chance as any of the road teams. The best game might be Cleveland St at Wichita St. as both teams are playing very well...

You had me all messed up Grassman. ;) Here's the lines:

Indy St -9 1/2 vs Toledo
UNI +7 1/2 @ Siena
Wich St +1 vs Cleve St
E'ville -1 vs Mia (Oh)
Bradley -1 1/2 @ Loyola
Mo St +8 @ Tn-Martin
SIU +5 @ UIC
Drake -6 vs Austin Peay
Creighton -8 vs Geo Mason

Creighton will win, we sure as heck better win, Indiana St and Drake will win.

I can't find another win for the Valley.

BracketBusters, as far as ESPN is concerned doesn't include non-TV games. It's like they don't exist. However, they count Gonzaga/Pepperdine as part of the TV package for it. You figure that one out.

After spending dozens of hours researching these games;) I'm going to go out on the limb today and say every MVC team wins today:cool:

Sorry, My + signs mean favored by. Your - are more applicable to the actual betting line.

i'm looking forward to the uni/sienna game. sienna was praised in this week's si as one of the "nation's best" mid-majors. would love to see uni win.

isu looked very uneven against niagara last night.

bradley should beat loyola--i'll say 68-59.

no idea about the rest of the matchups but i love the bracket buster concept. butler/davidson is a fun game to watch right now.

IF good Evansville comes to play 40 minutes they will win. I think WSU will also win.

hayward should average over 20ppg for the remainder of the season...I can see his confidence growing in this game...literally see it

he's out-shining the NCAA leader in ppg

absolutely amazing

I'll take Bradley by 20 points easily. Should be a snoozer of a game but i'd like to see AT and TB get some action together at the same time.
