9 MVC teams playing BracketBuster games Saturday

Thank God CU won! Otherwise, all of The Valley's "marquee" names would have been humiliated. I agree 7-3 doesn't sound embarrassing, but when two of you're leagues "top" teams lose to what I would consider "lesser lights" it is embarrassing in my book. The rest of the league (including BU) beat teams that are absolutely awful and have ZERO national panache (you like that word? ).

I DO NOT think this 7-3 record helped the MVC's at-large chances in ANY WAY! In fact, I would argue that the ONLY case made from these bracketbuster games is the Creighton is the only team worthy of an NCAA bid.

I predicted 5-5. I will gladly take 7-3. Mo ST. and E-villes wins were pleasant suprises.
In regards to our "top" teams. IL. St. is an awful road team. I projected an "L" for them. N. IA. has peaked and, IMO has now plateaued. Frankly I thought N IA. would be defeated far worse than they were. In fact, those two "marquee" teams may have been replaced by The Shocks & Sychs. as tough outs in St. Louis.
Obviouisly this is not The Valleys shining light year.
However, I do not think The Valley was embarrassed and the future projects well.

According to Realtimerpi.com- the Missouri Valley did jump quite a bit after yesterday's games. They are now the 9th place conference, ahead of CUSA, and close to the 8th place team, the Atlantic-10.

Well, Creighton is the only team worthy of an at-large bid. The MVC gets two teams if Creighton wins out and UNI loses a game giving the Bluejays the regular season crown and someone else wins the tourney. No other team is worthy of an at-large bid.

I agree, and we should end up playing Creighton on Saturday. That'll be a fun game!
