A couple Other Teams Taking Foreign Tours, Butler, IUPUI

Towson wins again over the same Laval club and ends their tour 3-2.

Appalachian State coached by ex-Tennessee coach Buzz Peterson, goes to 2-0 on their tour, beating College of the Bahamas 85-70, but started all the guys who played the least in their other exhibition game, which is what exhibition games are for!

Detroit goes to 2-0 in Spain, beating Club Basquet Nevas 105-79 and Girona 97-48. They have 3 games left.
The coach said Gerona was the tougher of the two opponents so far, but they play in the lowest (LEB Bronze) division of the 4-division Spanish pro leagues, and finished 13-17 this past spring. The other team, Club Basquet Nevas is not a pro team at all but a junior amateur team.

Kent State wins their first game over Basket Scauri 83-76, Tyree Evans gets 26 pts.

Detroit took in a bullfight on Sunday in Barcelona, and now travels to Valencia for their next game.
They are 2-0 on their tour and have 3 more games.

I know everyone is up early to see how the teams did on their tours... ;)

Detroit massacred "CB LLiria" 106-52. even some of their lesser players got in on the melee...as newcomer Chase Simon went for 30 points.
The club is actually known as CEB Lliria and is an amateur club team and does not play in any of the professional leagues in Spain.
DMU is 4-0 in Spain and has one game left.

Teams playing on tours this weekend..

St. John's - Canada - 4 games
Chattanooga - Canada - 4 games
UNO - Cancun - 2 games
Ohio State finished their Canadian trip 3-0, 3 blowouts

St. John's goes 3-0 with 104-62 win over University of Quebec at Montreal (UQM?), and a 71-54 win over Carleton, but Carleton led at halftime.
They play Ottawa tonight.

St. John's goes 4-0 with a really close 3-pt win over Ottawa.
Chattanooga lost their first game in Canada.

kinda bizarre reading the blogs from Chattanooga....
we know they lost their first game, but no mention of the score or anything about the game and not one single mention on the other three games...although a comment "we could go 0-4 this weekend".

Makes you really think Bobby Parker and the guys for getting the game details to us so promptly...because Chattanooga has played four games in Canada and not a single mention of the actually results of any of them yet!
