Marcellus Sommerville's contract was bought by his old team in France so he's leaving his team in Israel...
.......averaging 19.6 ppg plus 10 rebs & 3 asst!
- he will play the rest of the season with SLUC Basket Nancy in France
https://twitter.com/SuduUpadhyay/sta...43310763970560
His teammate there in France is ISU's Dinma Odiakosa

Cellus has been back in France for just 10 games, but what a difference he has made for SLUC Nancy, his new team...
In those 10 games he's averaging 14 ppg & 8 rpg plus 2.3 apg and they have gone 9-1 in those 10 games, raising their record to 16-6
and only 1 game out of first place in their French pro league!

Cellus has still got it!!
..as noted Dinma is also on that team averaging 7 ppg, 3 rpg in 22 games.

Update on some of our past Braves....

Lou Griffith - Now at St. Thomas Aquinas Univ. in NY- avg. 9 ppg in his RS sophomore season
Lou Griffith hit THE KEY SHOT to help St. Thomas Aquinas make it to the DII SWEET SIXTEEN!
https://twitter.com/STAHawks/status/1107416220335259648

Unfortunately, they lost at the Elite Eight level but they went way further than anyone had thought they would
They never got a single vote in the rankings and one site had them ranked #88 in DII

past Bradley Brave Auston Barnes has just won two of the top awards in the top Swedish pro league where he plays...

Top Defender of the Year
Top Forward of the Year
https://translate.google.com/transla...s/&prev=search

Auston's team, Sodertalje won the league at 29-7 with Barnes averaging 15.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg and hitting 60.4% overall and 41.0% from 3-pt
Currently Sodertalje leads their semi-final playoff series 3 games to 2 and is just one win away from heading to the Championship Finals.
They play today at 1pm Central Time - https://www.fibalivestats.com/u/SBBF/1142095/

Here are some highlights from earlier in the series - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFIAFH_iXYE

Auston is #6 in white

Cellus now has a training academy right here in Peoria - https://nextgenerationacad.com/

Andrew Warren had a great game Monday with his new team Mitteldeutscher BC in the BBL, the top pro league in Germany. He signed with them a little over a month ago when they had dropped to the bottom of the standings, but they have played much better with Andrew in the lineup. He had 30 points to lead his team to an upset win. He was alo 5-7 from three.

They have 4 games left in the regular season, but are not going to make the playoffs.

Marcellus Sommerville is having another great year in Europe. He plays for SLUC Nancy in the French Pro B League. They are 20-9 and just 2.5 games out of 1st place with 5 games left in the regular season.
Cellus is the team's top scorer with 15.4 ppg, and the team's top rebounder with 7.4 rpg. He also is the team's top 3-point shooter at 45.8%. This is his 13th season playing pro basketball in Europe, and he has excelled everywhere he has played.

And Chris Roberts is the leading scorer for his Italian pro league team Remer Treviglio at 16.5 ppg, and he also leads the team in 3-point shooting (41.1%). The team is in 3rd place in the West Division of the league with 2 games left, including one today. It looks like they will make the post-season playoffs.-

Former Bradley player Ronnie Suggs (now at Missouri), is graduating this weekend. Congratulations Ronnie! He still has 1 more year of eligibility, so I suspect he will stay and do post-grad work at U of Missouri.

.....and Happy Birthday to Taylor Brown who has signed to play in the Dominican Republic.

I just remembered this piece of news on past Brave Taylor Brown....

..well, most people know what's happening in the Dominican Republic....
(multiple unexplained tourist illnesses and deaths plus stonewalling by the officials in the DR)

I am happy that Taylor Brown did NOT play in the DR...
I just saw that bookings for travel to and vacations to Dominican Republic are DOWN 74% over this time compared to 2018....
but travel is currently UP 25-50% to many other Caribbean destinations (Bahamas, Jamaica, etc..)
..so people are obviously very leery of going to DR...
