Because this season's team fell far short of promises and expectations, and because we have already seen a lot of season ticket buyers disappear, I would suggest the athletic department consider the following suggestion for next year. Please waive the maintenance fees for season ticket buyers, especially those who have shown loyalty for many years and through this current streak of down years. I know Bradley needs the money to pay the salaries and bills, but there will be a lot of people who will not renew if they are forced to pay the high maintenance fees. Bradley fans are not stupid, and they see lots of empty seats, and many people will opt to drop their season tickets and maintenance fees and buy tickets individually or buy new season packages to avoid the maintenance. Plus, many will just stop coming rather than pay fees that are way more excessive than the product the fans are getting. So I hope they considers this, or we'll see another big drop in attendance among the most loyal fans that Bradley can't afford to keep losing.

Thankfully I don't have a maintenance fee where I sit or I would question coming back next season. I've had season tickets since I moved back into the area during the 91-92 season. I can remember going to games since the early 70's. We've certainly had low moments during the last 40 years but I've never heard so many people talk about not renewing their season tickets. We lose Walt and Tyshon. We gain Shaw and Sutherland but can you really count on a guy who sat out a year and a Junior College guy to be your main contributors because the way it's set up they are the direct replacements. Your other main guys, (Barnes, Grier, Taylor, Bell), are going to have to get a lot better and the other newcomers, (Swopshire, SZ) will have to make huge strides for us not to be in the play in game again. I hope it happens. I want it to happen. But with the way things are currently structured the light at the end of the tunnel is a looong way away.

Here is my suggestion: get rid of Glasser and Cross before they destroy the program permanently
Sorry, it is not going to happen. This administration is not going to reduce the maintenance fee or refund a portion of it. The expenses for the basketball program have increased dramatically and the revenues have decreased. I do not look for anyone to change to present course until either the economics or the board of trustees forces action. I would suggest that fans write letters to the board to trustees. Do not just complain about the team and the coach. I believe Geno will be here at least through the remainder of his contract. Make recommendations that could at least improve the fan experience and bring more students to attend the games. It is going to take some time (a few years) to turn this program around. The ship has been going in the wrong direction for some time.

we were 12-20 in 2010-11 against a SOS that was tougher....
..now we're 12-19 in 2013-14 (and we're gonna get one more loss) against a SOS that is worse...
everyone said we'd be better right away - or maybe give it 2 or 3 years and we'd be competing for championships but we are still playing Thursday night - and we weren't even close to staying out of Thursday - we're THREE GAMES behind SIU for the 6th seed (counting tiebreaker)
Our 7 conference wins would have translated to only 2 or 3 had the MVC been as strong as it was back in the mid-to-late 2000's when the entire MVC had RPI's of 100 or better
...sorry - this is bad basketball and it's time to stop the excuses, stop blaming the fans, and make some decisions that get results.

I always try to be supportive, but again I will say, high maintenance fees is the reason i dropped my season tickets. Cuts had to be made, I'm sure others had the same problem in this economy. So now I get feeds and listen on the radio, I went from not missing a home game in 5 years to only going to 2 this year. You would think someone from BU might ask why ? but they didn't, I will be a BU fan long after the current admin is gone, and they will leave .....count on that.......
I just wish my kids could enjoy the atmosphere that I remember from the field house and the 90's.

I have a unique perspective I think from most -- we have season tickets with both ISU (red) and Bradley as members of my family went to both schools. We live in Bloomington. I've had season tickets with Bradley for 20 years and ISU maybe for about 10-12 years. Our maintenance is comparable at both schools but our seats and parking are much better at ISU.
Admittedly, ISU doesn't have nearly the tradition Bradley has nor is the game experience (band, cheerleaders, even halftime, maybe even beer) comparable to Bradley's. ISU has a lot to learn BUT....
As far as the ticket office, we get regular contact from them - on the occasion that we need something special done - another couple getting season tickets in our section or parking issues for example, they accomodate us well. They mail tickets to our home --
I've never have had a bit of special treatment from Bradley -- I can't get them to mail tickets to us in Bloomington as I don't want to make a special trip to pick them up. When we went to Detroit for the NCAA run, I gave up trying to get tickets through Bradley and bought them there.
We go to St. Louis EVERY YEAR and I don't even bother contacting Bradley anymore as ISU is much easier to deal with. There are people at ISU that even know our names. I'm sure there's no one at Bradley that does.

But, I agree, if you contact the BU Sports higher-ups they may try to help you out a tad (Bobby helped me on one occasion), but the general support from the ticket office, and communication is horrendous. I get more communication from the U of AZ ticket office and it's been 3 years since I've had season tickets there...
