A Whopper of a Mistake

I thought this story was really funny, and I am a huge fan of Burger King's Whopper.
I'll drive way out of my way to find a Burger King and get a whopper rather than settle for anything less.

By the way....how about a survey..... what's your favorite?

--McDonald's Quarter Pounder
--McDonald's Big Mac
--Burger King's Whopper
--Wendy's Double/Triple
--Hardee's $6 Burger
--Ludy's (in Kickapoo) Special
--None of the above....I prefer __________(fill in the blank)

Yeah they don't have a website apparently but my favorite burger in the whole wide world is at Top Notch which is a diner-type joint with three locations: in Chicago's Beverly neighborhood, as well as the south 'burbs of Oak Lawn and Orland Park. http://www.yelp.com/biz/top-notch-beef-burgers-inc-chicago

For the fast food category I really loved the western burger that Carl's Jr. had when they had that outlet in Peoria on Western by campus...its probably a Hardee's now...it was great and for the whole day after you'd eat it you smelled like the bbq burger...they even put an onion ring on it...great stuff...anyone know if its on Hardee's menu?

I would vote Wopper slightly over Wendy's Double 1/2 lb. If we are including non-fast food, I would vote wiskey river burger at Red Robin. wish we would get one. They are in Rockford and Chicago area. We had one when i lived in Madison, Wi.

Never had Red Robin. I'd like to get a Fuddrukers, though!

Best Burger ever is the Beef House. (and does not cost more than, say, Applebees)

IMHO most burger places get it all wrong.
If a burger place had great buns (fresh, soft) AND had real garden fresh tomatoes, they would only need an average/slightly average cut of grilled meat to make an OUTSTANDING, kick the crap out of anything around Peoria, burger.

Ill go with the QP with Cheese.

I used lived up in Madison and the Red Robin I thought was terrible, there are a few here in Houston also and equally bad. Fuddruckers to me just depends on the location you go to if it is clean generally the burgers are decent, the ones Ive been to here in Houston are terrible. Was in one a few years ago in Omaha which was fantastic.

Now for me any Steakburger from Steak in Shake has to be considered as does the food from Culvers.

But Burgers mean nothing up there in Peoria. Peoria has the best pizza joints in the country!!!

Psst. Leonardo's was bankrupted by the other LaHood bro. :(

Leonardo's for me would not have even been within a top ten of pizza joints in the Peoria area. But I had heard that same thing last time I was in Peoria. They had, I think, recently opened a location out by BWW3 in the Grande Prairie?

Leonardo's, yea if you like tomato paste on cardboard, there was a reason they went bankrupt.

Best pizza in town, Palanzas in Sunnyland.

Well, you had to know to order the tomato bits instead of the sauce.

Also the Grand Prarie location did not make it. Probably did not help that they posed "go Iowa" signs..

Wow, that's in my neck of the woods at home. Great place and you're right, really really good burgers, also my personal fave.

Always loved Agatucci's (is it still around?)...................but Peoria having the best pizza joints???.............................I don't think so!

B4L, Agatucci's is still around, but the crowd of people who frequent it is smaller these days, however they are still pretty busy most nights.
