Seriously -- the Bradley game against Creighton has been moved to 3PM
alerts just now being sent out.....
"Men's Basketball game vs Creighton moved to 3PM start today due to weather."

Yup -- I just confirmed this is TRUE -- via a phone call to the BU Athletic Department!
I guess the walk-up crowd wasn't going to be anything anyway -- now it'll be zero!

I'm happy with the change. I wasn't going this evening but will make the 3:00 start. Great idea by someone. Beat the worst of the storm and Creighton may be able to get out of here before it gets really bad. Anyone want to shovel my drive in the morning. lol

Creighton is not getting out of anywhere...

The flights out have all been cancelled for the forseeable future and I wouldn't expect them to get out of Peoria til Thursday unless they are extremely lucky...

And 3p...wow...

This will take the team back to their high school days playing in front of that small of a crowd.

They should just open the doors and let anyone in who wants to come. That and sell $2 beers. I'm coming irregardless.

I will be there and probably sitting by myself since it looks like nobody wants to go with me.

Kind of ironic...we will probably win and there will only be a couple of thousand there to see it.

If I had known before hand, I would have brought my tickets to work.......not running all the way home and coming back into town, especially to see what appears to be a loss.

Can't see that 4 hour time change does much good.......allot of people may still be at work, for all I know, maybe I'm the only person working today? maybe all the retiree's will make the tip off? Doubt the Jays are getting out of town tonite? Guess My Loss!?

It's a good idea to help Creighton escape the blizzard if they can.

But the fact that there will be hardly any students, hardly any fans and definitely no out of town fans means that us in the basketball band are going to have a heck of a fun time yelling our faces off to counteract the absence of fans :)

I'm telling you...this is the kind of game we could come out with a win.

I will be going home to get my tickets.....

This is one of those instances where you could move the game on campus, free admission for students, and discounted tickets for everyone else. I feel that the amount of people that will actually be in the stands at Carver would easily fit into Renaissance Coliseum. Does Bradley have a snow day today? If so the afternoon tip could be something for students to do if they want to walk the couple blocks to the arena.

Any classes starting after noon were officially canceled... and there's a student shuttle leaving around 2pm.

Sounds like an awesome setup for students if you ask me...

I completely agree, although the logistics of setting up the arena for a game, getting the word out, creating enough parking spaces for everyone (yes, not many would travel, but a few would and you need to accomodate them), and all the other little things would make a change impossible unless you had a day's worth of advance.
