Andrew Warren..all time BU stats

The success that a few midmajor players like Stephen Curry of Davidson and George Hill of IUPUI have had in the NBA means that NBA scouts usually leave no stone unturned in evaluating college players.
I haven't see Jenkins play, but he is a borderline player for the draft. I have seen Silas, and I don't think he will get drafted. Andrew Warren is probably a better pure shooter than either of these guys, but the NBA guys evaluate many factors, and in some areas, AW will not score well.
I'd love to see AW get an invitation to some NBA draft camp or summer league team. But I think more likely, he'll first have to play a bit in Europe.

While the season isn't what anyone expected thus far, Andrew Warren is quietly moving up the ranks in BU history! :D
There are some pretty big names on this list...keep it up AW!

with 2 threes and 10 pts @ isu

Gonna be close. If we can win our first game in St. Louis, then it's guaranteed IMO. I could see him going for 30 and 22 in the next 2 games though.

Unfortunately, I don't see it happening. I'm putting my money on about 16 and then 10, and we falter in the first round...

I was hoping AW could break into the Top 10....but might be tough to do in 2 games....lefts hope he makes it and the Braves have a minimum of 3 games to better enjoy the MVC tourney weekend!

Can he score 52 to tie or pass Squeaky and move into the Top 10?
Needs to play 3 games if he is going to pass Squeaky, like to see him get 24 sat; another 20 on thurs with a win and he gets there as it leaves him with only 9 to make it, now it is up to the team to help him make this happen so at least he ends his career on a high note.

AW's line against Drake..... 5- 3's, 33 pts, 35 mins, 11 rbs, 5 assts, 0 TO's, 4 stls

On a side note.....AW only scored 139 total pts freshman year and 21 3's.....its amazing how much Andrew has increased his overall game! :D

You have a crystal ball over there?!

Only 19 more pts. Could be done Thursday for top 10... And top 3 for threes!

That would make this season a whole lot brighter if AW gets to #10 All-time AND we get past Drake on Thursday.

Drew has been so fun to watch and listen about all year - he has the most complete game in the MVC - great desire on his part to make that happen. Has really stepped it up defensively!

how 'bout that putback "dunk" that caused Drake's Mark Phelps to go ballistic??

Drew came in from the left wing and corralled that ball well outside the cylinder -- so Phelps was WRONG in thinking he got it while still inside the cylinder...
but the dunk rattled hard enough that it popped back up vertically almost to the top level of the backboard only to fall right back down thru the hoop!
Memorable shot, Drew..

I think what he was mad about was AW grabbed the backboard with his right hand(holding himself up longer) and hit the rim with his left hand...causing a bouncing rim that keep the ball in play over the rim giving a chance to go in because of the rim bouncing......not really sure how to explain it but from our seats we are in line with the backboard and I really enjoyed the play....of course AW is on my team! :D

Here is a video highlight reel. The AW dunk attempt is about 30 seconds into the clip (after a 15 sec ad). To me, it looks like the basket should have been waved off, as Andrew grabs the rim with one hand and holds on while he tries to stuff the ball. Then when he releases the rim, it bounces back up and propels the ball high and then it falls back into the basket.

Guess what will happen in just 94 more points scored by Andrew Warren...

(and since he has at least four more games, maybe more...he could make it...)

With 94 more points scored, Andrew Warren will reach 605 points scored THIS SEASON...
and that will make his 605 points the MOST points scored in a single season by anyone in the Missouri Valley this decade! (since 2000)...
When you think about all the great scorers and guys who have gone on to the NBA -- Kyle Korver, Nate Funk, POB, Cellus, David Moss, Jamaal Tatum, Blake Ahern, Phillip Gilbert, etc... I think that's a pretty good accomplishment....
GO Drew!!!

Since then, A-Dubb has tallied 59 pts., which puts him just 35 away from this feat. So if we get past Drake on Thursday, it's very possible he'll get to 605 pts. for the season.

with 4-3's tonight against Drake in the Valley tourney and 15 pts.....just think, 5 more pts to TOP TEN BU All Time Scoring List...WOW!

AW is so much fun to watch. When he gets into a rhythm he is dominant. But looking at that all time 3 pt. list, it makes me remember how exciting it was to watch Crouch during his last couple of years on the Hilltop. I remember being at every home game and when Jeremy got a split second look from 3 you just knew it was going to go in! BU really has given us some exciting players to watch over the years.

Here's where the numbers lie at the conclusion of Andrew's fine career...

AW has 1-3' and 17 pts to end a stellar career @ Bradley, finally breaking into the TOP 10 in scoring......CONGRATS! :D

I agree with you. He can head to Europe to work on a few aspects of his game. The one thing the NBA likes is speed and quickness. AW on the NBA scale needs to improve a bit on that. He proved that his defensive skills are there and can be explosive. He does remind me of Parker. He may get a look but he'll have to hopefully get an invitation from a team that needs a few 2 guards in its system.

I think Europe is where he'll end up, but I believe he'll get a shot at summer camps/invitationals/etc. I think he has an outside chance because he has good fundamentals, and particularly good intangibles. The thing against him is his athleticism, as he's just not a plus athlete at an NBA level... But skills wise I think he's very very good and will get a look.
