I agree in that it is not as easy to just go out and score 20 points every game, defenses key on certain players so since he is our leading scorer he gets a lot more attention, for the others that complain about C.Roberts not doing enough I would like to point out how he guards the other teams leading scorer most of the game which in turn makes his offense suffer but he always plays hard and goes to the boards pretty darn good for a 6-5 player, he pretty much took over the game late in the 2nd half.Still those AW doubters out there. Only JL gets more criticism then AW. I do not understand. I'm betting those that bitch and moan the most are those that never even strap on basketball shoes and head to the court. Do they even know how hard it is to play at this level after not playing for a year? There are times he seems to disappear granted but to ride him hard when only he leads this team scoring? I'm feel embarrassed for you guys when I read your posts.
I also have feeling he will even be muched improved next year. I'm a huge AW fan and supporter.

Still those AW doubters out there. Only JL gets more criticism then AW. I do not understand. Warren had showed all sorts of promise his sophomore year especially in the CBI. Having a year off and not being able to run definitely was a huge setback. I'm not saying Drew is Michael Jordan but does anyone remember when he returned wearing 45? He was nowhere close to the Jordan everyone new and loved before he retired. He looked really rusty but had some shining moments. Keep in mind he continually trained while retired from basketball because he was playing baseball. The next season however he had knocked the rust off and he lead the Bulls to another championship. Drew's games of 22, 11, 8, 17, and 14 were great in the CBI especially for a rising sophomore. HE DIDN'T RUN FOR OVER A YEAR PEOPLE!
He's rusty at times like MJ was when he returned from his hiatus, but mark my words, Drew will be POY in Valley next season!

I had mentioned that Aw had a tough stretch of games before the Evansville game...look the the stats before that game and his shooting percentage wasn't good and too many turnovers. He's always rebounded well though.
He made some big shots today in the second half and they came in a bunch it seemed....as long as we win it doesn't matter.

Warren will be fine. He does occasionally force up some shots but if he didn't shoot, then people would whine that he disappeared on the offense. He also may be conserving himself on the offensive end since he has to play nearly the whole game. He'll be just fine.

AW can seem to disappear, but like someone here said, there is a lot more to the game that you won't see if you just follow the ball. I still believe AW is super talented with a lot of room to grow. I still have high expectations for him to be a "star."

bigdaddy....its not just this thread....and not just this game and not just this player....a few choose to actually rip into players and make downright mean posts when it certainly is not needed...he IS ripping into him by what he says...to say he dissapears at times..ok i can see that as not ripping...but it has gone further than that....
remember what JJ Taui went threw with these guys... that was pathetic....and so it continues...on and on and on....

Andrew Warren is FIFTEEN games into the Misssouri Valley Conference season...and almost 30 games into the season...
and guess who is...
-3rd in scoring (and also 3rd overall with the guys ahead of him having played way softer non-con opponents)
-among the leaders even in rebounding (15th)
-#1 in FT%
-3rd in 3ptFG%
-4th in 3ptFG made (all games)
You don't do this stuff with smoke and mirrors....Andrew Warren is one of the best 5-6 players in the entire league and has been fairly consistent outside of a couple of mildly off-games...

Lemme tell you where we'd be had AW not made a great recovery from his injury...
we'd probably be battling SIU for like 8-9th place..

When AW is playing up to his abilities he is Bradley's best player. Bradley needs him to play and play well. When he doesn't play well or if he were benched, Bradley will struggle. Who is sitting on Bradley's bench waiting to take his minutes and out perform him? And yes, the harsh over the top criticism of him, SS, and some other players is out of line. Discussing their game is fair, yelling insults at them is not.

I agree that some on here have ripped players. There have been many posters on here who have repeatedly ripped EM any time more playing time was suggested. Especially at the beginning of the season when SM was struggling, due to injury, and some suggested that EM get more minutes. The number of posters on here who ripped EM for every little mistake he made was ridiculous.
I have no problem with a poster commenting on a players poor performance, just don't have to get nasty about it. As for AW, like I said even Coach B and Dave called him out about his first half effort yesterday. So I think people can say he did not have a good game. A good 2nd half yes.
